Lightfall was a major disappointment
For the price point of lightfall and the annual pass (140.00 cdn) for it to not include
Character skips
Event cards
Feels very scummy.
Also playing through the half baked narrative of the campaign just made me even more disappointed with my purchase. I did enjoy the missions after the campaign a little bit more but overall it was a big let down. If Final shape is the same price or more I probably won’t buy it.
Also to have such a long list of disabled gear for a new raid is really disappointing. A lot of people aren’t able to take their preferred load outs into the raid.
I’m mostly a pvp player but will jump into the pve story every week and also grind a few dungeons or raids with my clan. Pvp has been neglected for so long that I’ve looked elsewhere to play, primarily warzone 2. Winning in that game gives a similar feeling to back in the day of hitting legend in comp or getting Luna/NF. I haven’t felt that enjoyment or satisfaction from destiny in awhile.

1 ReplyWhat I'm mostly disappointed with is that Bungie said that the Shadow legion have been enhanced with Pyramid tech but they are no different than other Cabal except for that backpack thing that gives an overshield.I was expecting them to have light suppressing/draining grenades and even a shield/bubble thing similar to the Taken vandal or a smaller version of the large energy shield from the Cabal Battlegrounds activities that would suppress/drain out light if we go inside it.The other main thing I'm disappointed with is how Pvp,Gambit and Vanguard didn't get any kind of loot refresh at all its just the same weapons that we've been able to get since Season of the Lost which was about 15 months ago(right before Witch Queen was released).They added Legacy focusing for those activities but even that is just for the old armour sets and no old weapons.I would've liked a few of the old weapons to have been in Legacy focusing instead of armour personally.

Event cards are just cosmetic. That's your choice to pay $40 for them and shouldn't be included in this.

5 RepliesLIGHTFAIL! I stopped buying from greed years ago. Game went downhill and empty when Activision dropped it in the dumpster years ago. It’s been failing since. Have you seen the Lightfail vidoc? If you see their staff using profanities and swearing just to hype up an empty game, you know they’ve already failed. It’s so cringey even my goosebumps are growing more goosebumps. Cringe! Hahahahahahaha! There is nothing here. Welcome to hollowness!

I finally managed to make myself finish the campaign. The writing and story are so poor that Lightfall has actively harmed my ability to enjoy the game. It's confusingly bad. Beyond Light was distilled mediocrity but okay enough I guess. Witch Queen was high quality. If Bungie needs to take a year off of releasing and get their -blam!- together, they need to just say so. This garbage of butchering a story up to string it out over another year just inflicts further harm on their already questionable reputation.
