name changed
So I’ve reached out to Bungie support twice now with my issue with no help sadly. I logged into Destiny one day to see my name had been changed, I went into the companion app too see if I could change my name back with no luck, if there’s any way I can get my name back or a name change to change it back that’d be much appreciated! Or whatever can be done, don’t wanna be stuck with this random name on my account I’ve used since D1!

At this time, the one-time name change means one-time. If your name violates the code of conduct or the filter system, then Bungie also reserves the right to change it to a Guardian name. Outside of that instance, your name is what it is. Bungie has not announced plans to allow another name change at this time. - With the above being said, if you did not change your BungieName, someone else with access to one or more of your platform accounts did change your BungieName. It can only be changed from the Bungie.net website or app. I'd suggest changing your login credentials and locking down your platform accounts on consoles. Your name did not randomly change itself. If you didn't change it, and you don't know who did, that's a bit of an issue you should deal with.

You get one name change until Bungie allows another name change (at this time it is unknown when/ if this will happen. Also, if you didn’t change your name then your account could be compromised. Account security is the sole responsibility for the account holder. It is strongly urged to change your password and also to set up 2 factor verification.

2 RepliesWe only get one name change. So if it's been used then your current name is your gamer tag. Bungie has not announced if we will get more changes.
