Maybe this will help? I've been having the same problem since buying the expansion. I tried reinstalling the game, verifying files, installing the game on a different drive, checked ALL drivers and updates with no luck. I've seen a few posts about shutting down battleye and forcing the game to close but that didn't work either. Today I got the idea to just uninstall battleye altogether by opening steam > right-clicking destiny > properties > local files > browse > battleye > at the bottom it says "uninstall battleye." Once battleye was uninstalled, I restarted Destiny 2. That forced battleye to redownload because destiny won't run without it, which instantly let me get past the neverending rotating class symbols. I'm not sure if Lightfall corrupted battleye somehow or what but reinstalling it did the trick. Another way to get to battleye is through This PC > whatever drive you have destiny installed on > steam library > steamapps > common > destiny 2 > battleye > uninstall battleye. Then restart destiny 2 I know it's a little late for the raid but I hope this helps so you can have some fun.
