Here I was, being excited that there are much more intrinsic ways to deal with these arbitrary, loadout-restricting obstacles, when I then decided to start doing Legendary lost sectors. Imagine my surprise when I realized they were significantly tuned up (mainly overload). I'm sitting here trying to rely on my overload mod, but the thing is just so insanely tanky. I have to stun it, pop a super, and then hammer down with heavy, and even then I have to use a finisher to actually drop it.
If I'm out of heavy AND super, then I they're nearly impossible to defeat. They only stun for about 3 seconds, then can't be stunned again for 3 or 4 more seconds. If I'm not constantly firing during that time, then it'll heal most, if not all of the damage I've dealt, which provides another dilemma; should I use the stun time to deal damage or reload? If I don't reload, then it'll heal practically to full when I eventually do, but conversely, if I reload during the stun, it means I'm missing out on prime damage time. On top of that, since I have to be firing at it at all times to proc the stun asap, that means I have to put myself in its firing range too, meaning I'm extremely likely to be taken out before the stun cd ends, and if I hide for even just a moment, its hp restores to full, undoing any work I just did.
I did manage to clear the lost sector a couple times, so it's not impossible, but good grief I was not having fun doing it. It's sad. I used to love doing them, but now they aren't fun anymore.

Every question can be answered with "Bungie". I'm about to request a proper overdub of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
