I'm not going to speak for everyone but I have seen more posts hating the new difficulty then post liking it. It's just ridiculous I understand making harder content harder but just basic patrols and public events stuff like that you shouldn't be getting one shot, and the Threshers and interceptors make it even more ridiculous

38 RepliesThe subject line "Votes are in, we hate the difficulty change" The first words of the post: "I'm not going to speak for everyone" The Bungie forums, where irony goes to die.

"we"? You talk only for yourself.

6 RepliesAgreed. Legend on the Mars battleground is a joke. Even hero seems far harder than it should be. I've beaten the hardest gms to this point and won't going for it this season. Between their crappy round rooms to non stop spawns I'm good.
-
2 RepliesNothing was wrong in previous seasons and now as a solo casual I can’t even run the end game
-
2 RepliesI just seriously dislike Legend Lost Sectors, now. They're dreadfully boring bullet sponge fests, and the rewards aren't even worth it. Champions aren't difficult, they're just boring. Shooting at a boss for a solid 25 minutes with WE/Strand LMG or Anarchy for DPS. Man, can't wait to run Thrilladome today on my Warlock for 30 minutes.
-
The patrol zone difficulty on Neomuna is too rough. The lost sectors are ridiculous, and primary weapons are ineffective due to the ridiculous health increase.
-
1 ReplyTbh is just makes everything less enjoyable. The rewards didn't improve, and the effort required to get any shít done is exhausting.. bungie went hella braindead with this one
-
1 ReplyYou need post poll. We can vote what you been saying is true. But without if, You can’t speak for all of us. If you post poll, if number high then you can say what is it. Bungie is interesting in proof and results of players are speaking. You have my vote but bungie want results on that poll.

3 RepliesHate the changes as well. Legend feels like a old GM for gods sake. I guild conqueror every season I love the challenge but this just isn’t fun

3 RepliesThis is a issue a lot of people including myself have noticed HOWEVER unlike a lot of people I don't want this to be reverted outright back to where it was. I'd like to keep the power level disadvantages but scale them down to a appropriate amount that's not against the Geneva convention because jesus its torture. Keep the new modifiers in strikes and nightfalls but add some of the old d1 versions that grant more damage with specific weapons. "remember sidearm damage boost :)" Basically allow the enemies to remain tankier but reduce the damage they deal a fair amount because the resil nerf AND the damage taken being increased creates a bad idea. This is the examples I've come across thus far. 1. *LEGEND* Difficulty this week on nightfall, you can be 1 shot by a minor hive Knight in a well... Yeah that's definitely not a problem. 2. *LEGENDARY* Difficulty on the exotic mission is God awful to the point its likely people won't be getting their catalysts as wyverns 1 shot you, hobgoblin take you to tickle me and I die health and they span multiple of them. 3. Patrol on neomuna... So patrols you could run whatever you wanted and have a laugh grinding bounties, on neomuna you can't. Even though in Cutscenes we use Kvostov but the reason we never fire it is because we'd just see immune. Overall I think the difficulty needs to be scaled and adjusted down a lot but not outright removed. Its not fun or challenging, it's just bad. Now, if you see this and comment git gud or skill issue. Those joke responses have been used so much they are meaningless.

Power levels disabled in Vanguard Ops?… Why?
-
4 RepliesThe health increase of enemies is the most annoying part. I wanna shoot my primary guns and see an effect, not plink away with very little happening. Enemies hitting harder, I can accept up to a point. This whole tuning of difficulty seems to have been done to bog us down in ineffectiveness, to increase grind time and little else. It’s sucks the fun out of the game loop.

Most people on the forums are saying this. The place where people are always so sure of themselves and never wrong about anything. The place where anything positive you could say is met with shill comments. The place with a hate -blam!- for streamers. Yes. The Destiny community really does seem to be in agreement.
-
2 RepliesIm so glad Im taking a break from destiny. My gut told me this season would be pure dumpster fire. They killed the power fantasy, period. Bungie has never learned the difference between challenge and cheese, difficult vs tedious.
-
3 RepliesThe forums are VERY vocal, that doesn't exactly mean they speak for everyone. That being said, from what I've seen, the community isn't too impressed with a patrol zone being cranked the way it is. Personally, I do like the Legendary Campaign scaling, but ONLY when it's a choice and not a mandate. It's great for activities with variable difficulty levels, but should absolutely not be the norm. I think Bungie misinterpreted what people were asking for when they wanted a difficulty bump. People wanted higher difficulties to actually be difficult, not just crammed full of Champions.
-
I dont understand what everyone's complaining about. Truly. I play like once a week nowadays, and I dont think it's that difficult. Boring and unimaginative..but not that difficult.
-
Sounds like a personal problem.
-
Where do I vote cause I don’t mind most of it. This weeks NF is about the only thing I’ve found in all the activities so far that I feel needs a slight adjustment.
-
Hope this stays bumped for a while.

Like activities such as the seasonal activity, dares and LS shouldn't have it. I guess we could throw in strikes but I've always been a fan of how we had Heroic strikes in D1. D2 hasn't had that feeling for me. Meanwhile things like NF and GMs should have contest mode applied.

Agree the difficulty change takes the fun out of the game, limits your weapon choices, and takes too much time. We are supposed to be powerful warriors but instead we are slaughtered minions, again, and again, and again. If I wanted to do an event over and over again I would play Dark Souls and Elden Rings but I don’t that is why I don’t play those games. I have invested a great deal of time and enjoyed this game but now it is onerous. It is not worth the increased time and frustration. Real life is humbling enough, I don’t need my play time to do the same. Bungie has lost a player.
-
2 RepliesI agree with you on the difficulty and think that this was over-tuned. Even at near 1800 LL I am still getting one-shot by Thrashers with 100 Resilience! Also, these patrol mobs are tanky as hell. I agree that having challenges to a game is fun, which is why some people play it, but forcing it upon everyone seems excessive. For example, if I want to play a regular strike where I can go in and blast everything away like a god, I can do that. If I want to play the same strike where I have to ensure optimal gear and spec along with learning the best strategies, then I would go do GM or Master level content. Anyways, I cannot say I speak for the majority because I do not. This is just my own opinion, and it agrees with the OP.
-
Yes. The votes are in. Challenge implies possibility of overcoming these tragically implemented activities. What we have here is not challenging activities; just straight up pure monotonous garbage pretending to be challenging. I mean come on, one shot vehicles that ambush you out of nowhere? Really?
-
1 ReplyNothing I love more than fighting the same old cabal and vex enemies, but now at a much slower pace. [insert deadpan look here]

Even the ads in the patrol zones in Neptune feel like a legend patrol space No wonder the 3 areas are quiet Bungie doesn't have a clue about what people want in this game Making certain things harder in the game with the same rubbish rewards will not keep people playing
