You made it less effective for us, and now you make it cost more to put on armor.
If anything, it should cost LESS.
-
4 RepliesThe point is to make it more costly to build into damage resistance with the hope that it becomes less of a mandatory option so they don't have to balance EVERY encounter around little Timmy having 100 resilience. I know that's not going to make it any better for you or make you like the change, but that's why, and it's a fair reason. 40% DR was insane to begin with.
-
1 ReplyI fully agree. I dont care if I have to use all 10 of my mod cap to get 30% DR, even if it only costs 5 for 27%. They have boosted the difficulty so high now that we need every tiny bit of DR just to survive, and their nerf to it has done nothing but anger the vast majority of the community. I want my 40% back!
-
To make streamers happy.
-
1 ReplyEven at 40% damage resistance we were still squishy af so the change doesn't really matter to me...you still have to sit far back behind cover, peak shooting your way through master and grandmaster content. What they shouldn't have done was make almost every enemy a bullet sponge.
-
4 RepliesPersonally I don't think it should cost less than it did before, but they definitely shouldn't have upped the cost. Reducing the damage resistance was definitely a necessary change, but that was all they needed to do. The increased cost was a step too far.
-
Because .02% of the player base thought the game was too easy (not including the trolls just trying to bait arguments) so Bungie did the logical (Bungie) thing and overtuned and undertested the changes and now we have a game where you can die 5 times every 30 seconds in a patrol zone, a nightfall we all knew was going to suck as soon as it was announced , and regular playlist strikes that are still somehow TOO easy.
-
The cost of 3 was tuned for when resilience only gave more health. They added a new functionality and didn't increase its cost when they should have. Even after increasing that cost, the functionality was much to powerful so it was brought down to a less broken level.
-
What doesn't make sense to me is that Intellect is still an expensive mod despite it being the literal worst stat in the game, especially after the updates to how super energy is generated. I'm waiting for Bungie to notice this and make super generation impossible without 7 or more Intellect instead of reducing the cost of the mod. Gotta keep you on that wheel, farming new sets of gear every other season.

Bungo logic. Literally an oxymoronic statement.
-
3 RepliesAgree and they upped the damage from everything else in the game destiny souls this dlc should be called
-
Nerfs on nerfs. That’s what all the updates have been in LF. Many good mods removed, some mods cost increases, effectiveness of many mods reduced, ability cool downs increased and stat effectiveness reduced, and difficulty increased.

Omg, the tears in this thread.

Bungie wants the adept blood to pour into calus throne. They want you to feel the pain.

Edited by Backlum Chaam: 3/9/2023 3:27:14 PMIf the mod would go back to 3-that would help with so many builds. Especially with all the other changes.

3 RepliesIf I had to guess it’s a psychological thing. Studies show the more time, energy and challenge you put into obtaining anything then the more people form a higher value or attachment to it. Say I give you 10 dollars for free the theory stipulates that you will be more likely to spend it faster than a person who I paid 10 dollars for an hour of work. This doesn’t work on everyone. It’s just a higher correlation that this will happen. Bungie is under the belief that this will work with gamers and they will be more attached to the game than before but may lose 10-30% but the remaining players will be more devoted to the game and spend more to play it. So the end result is less work for the same outcome of profit.

13 RepliesWhy the hell are you even putting Resilience in your armor. You should never mod resilience, recovery, or intellect. You should aim to have 100 Resilience with no mods then mod your Strength, Discipline, mobility

Because peppergrepper got big mad.

artificial difficulty *puke*
-
False difficulty . That’s all .
-
The difficulty reminds me of the division to some degree honestly

Emotional torment.

1 ReplyFor the same reason they never reduced the cost of intellect after they made it useless
-
Not to sound harsh, but Bungie has always “over-nerfed” things. One example that comes to mind is Duskfield grenades and Renewal Grasps. They needed the damage reduction AND the cooldown. Sometimes they eventually revert changes and take away one of the “extra” nerfs, but more often than not, they are forgotten about because there are other issues at hand. Irritating as it may be, it’s just the Bungie way.
-
4 RepliesBecause it gave you 6 months of content to go grind new armor. And now you have to grind other armor because resilience is less important aka your the hamster on a wheel

Bungo "logic" 🙄
