Game Crashing - Final Boss for NODE.OVRD.AVALON
Made it to the final boss for the NODE.OVRD.AVALON secret mission only to have my game freeze and crash, sending me all the way to my Playstation home screen. There's no checkpoint so I have to do the whole Vex network over again.

Can confirm still happening on legend. Every time I get to the first encounter I get booted to the home page.

Bungie, I can’t obtain any catalyst because of this issue, my game has frozen and crashed twice on the first boss in row. Is there any other way for us to obtain the catalyst as I cannot play this activity?

Playing with a fireteam and got to the first boss on Legend. I got disconnected and can't rejoin. Ridiculous because we did the whole rest of the quest together

PS5 Still crashing got to encounter before final boss, freezed and crashed to home screen. No rejoin option to anything and was running a legend Avalon....so damn annoying!

On xbox myself just had it happen that on the last part of the boss, we were "joining allies" and it looped us back to the previous area. We managed to still kill the boss but it looped us back again and we got the "turn back" and died. Had to start over.

Yeah I've just had the game crash twice in a row at the Data Nullifier. I'm on PS5. Super fun mission, just a shame to keep crashing. I really want to finish it but feel foolish trying a third time. I can't remember the last time D2 crashed on my PS5 before.

I’ve just had this happen on the second data nullified phase too. Extremely frustrating as there doesn’t appear to be checkpoints and it’s a pretty intense mission - makes it more abortive than crashing in the campaign

This same giant minotaur crashes the game in terminal overload and they won't do anything about it, shame for a playstation studio to have the game crashing this frequently on PS5

2 RepliesThis literally just happen to me. The game has been crashing ever since Lightfall and I suspect it has to do with Strand. It has only crashed in the Terminal Overload and now the NODE.OVED.AVALON mission. Really frustrating since I almost had the boss killed. I haven’t seen anywhere else on how to fix this either.

Same on ps5. At the final boss both times. I feel silly attempting it a 3rd, especially w no checkpoints

2 RepliesEdited by Enabran: 3/8/2023 2:25:53 PMi was crashing for every Terminal Overload until i booted my PS5 into safe mode and used the Rebuild Database option. Now i've just completed two TOs on my Strand Warlock. Maybe try that. As far as I can tell there's no danger from it. EDIT: Nevermind this doesn't work. I also crashed when I tried the exotic mission, right near the end too so i wasted about one grueling hour going through it solo. My Terminal Overload completions must have been a fluke. Or maybe just rebooting the console resets whatever buffer is filling up? I don't know. All I know is there doesn't seem to be a work around and we're basically going to have to wait on a patch to fix it. This suuuuucks. I bet the raid is Friday is going to crash a lot too.
