So let’s see, we’ve now had 2 expansions, Witch Queen and Lightfall where she’s a lore relevant character. 3 (arguably 4?) seasons (Hunt, Lost, Risen???, Seraph) all fairly heavily based around her, plus two end-of-year events, and yet she’s yet to make a physical appearance, have dialogue, hell, even lore-tabs on her are pretty scarce. She’s been a relevant character for almost 2.5 years and in all that time we’ve had absolutely no real progression. If I was being generous I’d say the writers are trying to gradually build her up like the previous writing team did with Savathun, in which case, they’re failing, hard. That was done in a much better and thought out way, always lots of lore, and strings for people to throw together that were paying attention. If I was being honest? It feels like Bungie have no clue what to do with Xivu narratively. One might even be inclined to think she’ll survive the Light and Dark saga at this rate.
