Please remove the ability of enemies to boop us literally all the way across the map

It's pretty funny, but mostly it's just annoying when you're actually in combat. ~~ Quick update: There seems to be some confusion about what I meant, but I'm [i]really[/i] only talking about the specific case when [b]enemies boop us literally all the way across the map[/b] -- which is why I chose those words. I'm not talking about enemy stomping or booping in general, as annoying as that can be. I'm just talking about this extreme version that just feels like a glitch when a shield bump sends you flying for about a quarter mile. (I really have trouble telling whether things I see in this game are glitches/bugs, because there are so many things that don't make sense to me.)

  • Boss stomp is a bungir staple, weve been asking for that stupid mechanic to be removed since day 1 D1, never gonna happen.

    • What the happened to no more deaths from acceleration?! Did they or did they not say they were patching that out of the game? Because I am still dying from being flung into things and landing “too hard”.

          • They definitely boosted the knockback, I'm thinking it has something to do with how the grapple physics work. It's also the reason they made getting slammed into walls not 1HK anymore.

            • I have learned my lesson, always be various of shielded enemies. The taken will boop you away and the cabal will shield slam you a mile away.

              • I maybe in the minority here but I think it is hella funny and makes it incredibly tense when getting chased. I haven't had that feeling in Destiny 2 for years. I do understand your point though.

Nah it can’t be that…..lol.

                      Not only cabal shields but tormentors do the same but I got payback thxs to Titan barrier I threw a barrier up just when he's about to slam on me causing him to get barrier blind as he flew off the map LMAO

                          • PLEASE!! So many cheap deaths in "difficult" content cos I go sailing without any control into a pit. And this season is FULL of pits! I know we have grapple now but I don't like it lol And not every subclass has it anyway. A hunter MIGHT be able to save themselves but the other classes are likely buggered. As a melee centric (it's how you built us bungie) getting into melee is deadly enough without architect slapdowns and getting yeeted across the map! I am sick to my eyeteeth of it.

                            • My favorite was getting stomped into a wall by one of the tanks in the legendary campaign. "Killed by the architects". Great fun starting over. LOL

                                Tell me about it the Minotaur minds “temporal shockwave” in the neomuna’s version of escalation protocol is insane, the ability’s aoe is excessive. You essentially have to run strand to recover from it.

                                • Being a problem since D1 and got worse and worse with D2. Bosses and mini-bosses stomps, Phalanxes shield bashes, Cabal flamethrowers ecc. However Bungie is never going to get rid of this. Stomps are basically a staple for them.

                                  • Honestly I just want them to remove fall damage at this point, at least damage lethal damage. I can see taking off a quarter bar and stuff but just kick you into third person and show you doing a hero landing, we already have dive abilities which negate fall damage anyway.

                                    • I can’t count the amount of times I’ve almost sent my controller through my TV because I’m at the last enemy of a bullet sponge encounter on legendary campaign, and I get booped out of Neptune’s atmosphere with my warlock and then have to waste 10 minutes again because of the darkness zone 🤦🏻‍♂️
