Where the hell is Elsie Bray?
She was present in the first and last cutscene but had no involvement in Lightfall? I mean out of all the characters it made the most sense for her to be there considering she has a fricking Pouka from Neomuna and perhaps she could give us some insight on what she saw in the other timelines compared to this one!???
I have a theory that most people seem to think is true. First and last cutscene use to be one large cutscene for the original Lightfall story which is now the Final Shape, the presence of Elsie Bray in the cutscenes meant she was going to be involved in The Events of the original Lightfall story which is now The Final Shape. However due to needing a filler expansion to help with the story they reused the cutscene for the new Lightfall story, which is why there’s confusion as to why Elsie Bray isn’t present at all in the story but is for some reason shown in the cutscene.
In all honesty wish we had Elsie to travel with instead of Osiris. She’s much more knowledgable about the witness possible plans and how his army operates, as well as having been the first in our timeline to learn the first darkness subclass stasis.

1 ReplyShe didn’t get her Pouka from Neomuna though. She found it in space. She has never been to Neomuna herself and didn’t know about it. How she met it was part of the lore books included in the collectors edition I believe. Based on some of the info from last season this is also new experiences for her going on this time from previous time loops. She doesn’t know how things could progress from here because she has never experienced it. Her involvement makes less sense than Osiris as Osiris was the one having the visions of Neomuna.

1 ReplyNoticed a slight misconception with Elsie. She isn’t going to other timelines. That was her D1 lore, she came from another timeline and was helping us in ours. The retcon is that this timeline resets, she is traveling back in the same timeline over and over. All the other timelines we can access are cosmic ‘what if’ spin offs. Hard to say she would know anything of the Witness. The only flashback we have didn’t include him.

I like how while my Guardian was out slaying bosses, learning new abilities, doing public events, killing alien Emperors and handling business on Neptune… Ikora, Zavala, Mara, and Elsie were apparently just standing around in the exact same positions in the Helm in both cutscenes as if only 5 minutes had passed. But if I went to the tower then I could break time and watch Zavala just standing around doing absolutely nothing, while the Witness was also doing nothing at all except having a staring contest with the Traveler when he could have been out slicing and dicing the opposing forces.. That is, when he wasn’t doing FaceTime with Calus, and just floating around in space aimlessly.
