It really adds credibility to the threat the Shadow Legion bring and I've noticed it's even made players value each other's presence on the battlefield more with less cases of players not caring to revive you. With the high number of tough enemies on the map at once, Machine Guns also finally have a place to shine.
Oh, and the Lost Sectors are the most creative and detailed batch we've ever gotten. Story aside, Neomuna has an amazing atmosphere and amount of things to do on it so good job on these aspects of the expansion.

Edited by Wulfen: 3/22/2023 1:29:43 AMMaking every enemy a bullet sponge to create a challenge is lazy, poor game design. I would much rather we feel like Glass Cannons instead of just... glass. Doing literally anything in the patrol zone solo is absolutely dreadful Looking forward to when I no longer need to go there

7 RepliesThe lost sectors are good but the drop ships, interceptors and turrets are over tuned. I also feel the cabal have too much health. Something like 4-5 head shots with god rolled crafted Zaoulis. I vaulted it immediately. Cabal are already tankier than other enemies.

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
The problem is the vex event and the new public events were clearly designed for 6-9 guardians, and because the campaign drove so many away, its rare to even have 1 blueberry in the patrol zone with you But I agree, I love exploring on Neomuna, alot more interesting than Bore Opa and The Bore World , I love modern futuristic environments, instantly my 2nd favorite area close behind DC, still trying to figure out where the vent is to get the last region chest though -
1 ReplyNah... literally can't relax and chill on patrol, lost sectors will be pain in the -blam!- if you need to farm exotics.

3 RepliesRandom yellow bar Hobgoblins on floating platforms…fun.

4 RepliesMeh, with how this expansion was received I don't think anyone would really agree with you on that but you do you. Alot of people are avoiding the new destination on console and it really feels dead when compared to the throne world from witch queen last year. Were you couldn't even load in without lag cause there was so many people trying to play in that destination now its hard to find a team to run stuff. I'm sure there's a lot to do on neomuna or however you spell it but the increased difficulty is a turn off and it makes me really not want to waste time in that location cause nearly all enemies will just one or two tap you even with max resilience and the side quest are just annoyingly grindy.

11 RepliesBullet sponges are so engaging

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that I'm vastly overleveled to literal gods like Crota and Oryx but now suddenly some random cabal goobers are somehow too high level for me to fight.

Love getting one shot of my sparrow every 5 minutes

Absolutely agree. I had a ton of fun sneaking around to the region chests while enemies were outright immune and would nearly one-shot me. As I finished the campaign though, activities like terminal overload proved a very welcome challenge. As a titan, I worked to fortify myself and my team and get rewarded for doing so, which is a first. Focusing on hard ad-clear, my trusted old Recurrent Impact and its 636 rounds made it possible to keep enemies at bay when fewer allied Guardians were around. I watches in horror as the advanced vex public event (with 6 raid-boss-health minotaurs) spawned in for the first time. I called in my clanmates, and by sheer force of will (and the power of the craniums) we were able to clear out the 6 while they bore red skulls above their name. (And nearly crashed my game with Glacial quake in the process) These are patrol experiences I thought I'd never have, and I'm very pleased with the current state of patrol.

2 RepliesFor years there has been feedback asking for harder patrol. They finally did it though at least on this forum it hasn’t been well received.

1 ReplyEdited by Astartes Marine: 3/5/2023 5:12:15 PMChallenging in the wrong ways. Simply bloating health bars is lazy. Things that instead be tweaked: Aggression and melee charge chance Firing cycles and accuracy Evasion and movement Spawn frequency and squad density Types of enemies If you want more challenging enemies jut a FAIR challenge, make them hard chargers, push the player. -Have them fire more frequently, and be better shots, have them dodge and weave more often as well as pursue players that fall back with a higher chance of becoming enraged. -Have larger groups of enemies that spawn or reinforce more frequently to enforce a constant tide of reinforcements to the front lines. -Have more varied forces arrive to combat you like "A Cabal armored unit is on patrol" (tank plus troops, Interceptor squadron, etc) or "a detachment of Vex has been spotted" (group of larger Vex like Hydras/Wyverns/Minotaurs) off to secure some location. The damage they do is fine, but the health is overdone.

Yeah it sure does feel like a -blam!- war zone. Everything's dandy till the Wyverns show up in a four vex squad
-
4 RepliesI too love a entirely empty patrol zone for hours on end while enemies swarm you and have bs inflated health levels.

3 Repliesthreshers need a nerf! well annoying if you ask me

That's good to hear given that I can't see for myself right now. I did somehow spawn in some public event thing where I was way under level or something to the point where the bosses were immune and I was surprised how much the other people there were reading me. It's almost like more real reasons for people to choose teamwork leads to more teamwork.

I like Neomuma's patrol zone more than most simply because it feels like there are more enemies around and the space feels less empty compared to something like Savathûn's Throne World. Feels better having enemies be a couple of levels above the player for a change.
-
Honestly I don’t feel like i’m dying any quicker to the the patrol enemy’s in neomuna (except for threshers and turrets, but they always have melted you) Except for some reason, in the thrilladome lost sector. I get absolutely fried in there and i don’t know why lmao.
-
9 RepliesIn particular, I liked the Thrilladrome. The whole Tron-like bit at the end was a cool retro vibe to go with the Neomuna 80's futuristic city aesthetic.
