Bungie have done it again, just killed the solo players again, I don't mind hard but it's not fun anymore,
-
no issues with anything as a solo player yet, maybe its just a you thing?
-
1 ReplyThere's nothing creative about putting your character in a closet with a bullet sponge Tormenter and/or boss with a stomp mechanic.
-
7 RepliesYou’re still in the first week of the campaign. Once more and more players realize the difficulty in casual modes is not worth it, the numbers are going to plummet and they’ll revert these changes most likely even before Season of the Deep. This level isn’t sustainable for the amount of average, casual players that play this game. You can’t take a game that’s been easy for 5 years and then smash everyone in the head at the drop of a dime. Clearly no one played tested the difficulty spike.
-
I haven’t had any issues as a solo player yet.

1 ReplyIt's not hard. They just made it bullet spongie. I guess they didn't play division 1 and all the success it had (sarcasm).
-
Nah you just gotta learn how to build absolute tanks to deal with the changes.
-
2 RepliesDo be a team focused game

5 RepliesSolo is ok still once you get past 1740 ish light. It’s a bit harsh before that but that pushes you into the campaign I guess. What is annoying solo is the final Calus fight as he just stomps you off the platform and you have to start again. There is no skill involved in that last section of the fight solo, just luck and that is poor design. Calus and his two mates are bullet sponges. His to mates will knock you out of your super and if Calus gets anywhere within a quarter platform width of you you are over the edge and back to start again.

2 RepliesNo one cares if you're a "solo" player the game isn't built around that concept. Go watch Esoteric videos if you wanna learn how to solo things.

3 RepliesEdited by KIngJS922: 3/5/2023 1:27:52 PMYup. They have killed my builds I have been trying to do the end of this downfall mission after work for 3 days now. Too many freaking enemies in this big -blam!- rooms random centurians and those stupid axion bolts. Also they need to give snipers their damage back, the fact that bows only do 2k less damage than a sniper on headshot of a heavy is ridiculous, 27k on redbar? Where's the sniper damage?
-
Your right m8, it's crap. Bungie need to at least lower the difficulty for regular patrol and stop pandering to no life streamers. They are a minority after all.
-
4 RepliesSeriously. I can’t even really play this season yet because I can’t beat Calus on regular mode as a hunter. Too many random instant death moments

I solo'd Legendary Lightfall campaign 😕

Edited by xbroggiex: 3/6/2023 3:25:54 AMEndgame needed to be harder(and way more rewarding), low end content just needed to be more FUN and have more creativity put into it. Master Raids are definitely harder now due to the -20 power, but things like GM are easier because you take less damage from the threat and you get easier access to 25% more damage. Low end content(seasonal activities, strikes, patrol) needed to be more fun and just be different. We are now on the not first... not second... not third... BUT FOURTH iteration of -blam!- BATTLEGROUNDS! It's just so boring they all play the same with such little differences between them.

I play excusively solo unless I'm doing a raid or a dungeon, and let me tell you it is not even close to as hard as you think. I'm 1798 and was farming Legend lost sectors today to get the hunter ugly helmet because I picked the wrong exotic at the end of the campaign. They are hard, yes, but not GM hard or Master Raid hard. You simply need to have a good build and get good.

I'm a solo player & it's fine!

2 RepliesLightfall was created on demand for streamers not an everage player in mind and it will end-up dead if nothing is changed.
-
1 ReplyEveryone crapping on you are not casul players. I agree with you personally. I myself have no problem solo'ing content, but I'm also a more hardcore player thats been playing since the days of D1 alpha testing. I suspect a lot of casual players are not going to deal with this new "difficulty" change. I haven't seen one guardian with a guardian rank below 6 yet, which tells me no one new is coming in to play the game, because no one wants to deal with it. I do think making the patrol zone enemies "harder" kills the power fantasy all together, and also that they didn't need to make hero level activities harder either. Sometimes it's just fun to absolutely steamroll things.

Edited by A_mo: 3/5/2023 10:25:17 PMOn paper it looks like the game has gotten better for solos by giving us more meaningful content to play. Haven't played enough to say for sure and of course the lobby consolidation in PvP will take a while to be able to judge as well.

Use cheeses and glitches, they are evrrywhere because bungo didnt account for stasis AT ALL! But yeh, youre right.
-
I’ve had no problem with any content at all. I once was a sweat but now play maybe 5-10 hours a week, and this is the level of difficulty I’ve wanted to experience in this game forever.

1 ReplyI can handle it all except for the boss fights, which are in tiny rooms or on platforms with drop offs. Why build a giant city and giant ships, when they could have done the boss fights in a McDonald's or on a volleyball court - with drop offs of course. Give us some damned room! Give us some places to go to get our health back! At least pretend that this is a fight between vast empires and not a fist fight in the parking lot between Mike Tyson and a kindergarten kid. Oh, and Mike has a baseball bat. With spikes on the end. And the kid is blindfolded and in a straight jacket.
