It reminds me of year 1 where there was so little for me to do that I had a patrol/event loop on titan and burned the super meter into an OLED TV.
I can still casual dares and altars on the moon.
The vanguard ops playlist is not fun anymore. Save the bs sponges for nightfall.
The seasonal events have fluctuated for years, but now they're mostly a chore and I'm essentially forced to use osteo striga or trinity ghoul.
I don't care that some streamer is too lazy to select a harder difficulty.
I don't want to spend time in here as a hobby in its current state.
How's Warframe these days? Anthem is $3 on Xbox right now too.
Edit: having a much easier time today, so I can only assume that stasis titan is booty (I just now finally got the stasis kills as behemoth triumph, lol).
Well see how this shakes out, but I still want artifact power to remain relevant.

Bungle employees play at work and get paid for it. They aren't trying to squeeze in a couple of hours between helping the kids with their homework and bedtime. If they die, they don't get sent to orbit, they just revive themselves, without a timer, and keep on testing. Of course they have access to all the exotic weapons and armor and upgrade materials. The result is an overly hard and mostly boring game.

I mostly play alone but thankfully my friends started playing again so its been really fun playing dungeons with them. No lie I really wish bungie would add matchmaking to every little thing apart from grandmaster and raids. Heck even dungeons should have matchmaking, people are able to solo dungeons anyway so might as well allow it. Obviously it should give players the option to matchmake or not.

10 RepliesAll this pandering to streamers and elitists has ruined the game… destiny has always been a casual easy game where the joy is space magic and power fantasy… not challenge…now it’s just a boring game with bullet sponges and less magic… oh and much more grind
-
38 RepliesI hate to burst your bubble. But these posts annoy me. It's an online - multiplayer - cooperative game. Stop complaining about playing solo when its not encouraged to play solo. In fact, all the solo triumphs are there to inspire challenge. Not easy peasy standard. The game is already too easy. The campaign on normal mode is a literal joke, but the legend is rough. Bungie needs to up their bottom difficulty still and slightly decrease their highest level stuff. The "casual" experience is a stupid thing to fight for. Why cater to the group that puts in the least effort on the game?

I agree not everyone has friends
-
I'm a 90% solo player, put way too much time into the game to be truly called casual. That being said I found it a chore the first week until I had unlocked some of the better artifact mods and built my subclass around them (still mad that everything is void / solar / strand since I'm mainly an Arc player by choice but it is what it is) Now that I'm at > 1760 light level I'm no longer struggling WHEN AND IF my mods work. Unfortunately they like to break all the time. But I'm sure bungie will eventually fix that.

8 RepliesI killed Calus due to online help. I just felt relieved that the campaign was over. I will not use strand since Bungle forced it on me and it’s crap. The idea of doing it all again with two other characters is depressing. Spending hours grinding the new empty city already feels exhausting. A waste of $100.

4 RepliesEdited by Artisan: 3/4/2023 3:06:27 PMThe difficulty increase. The arbitrary nature of the Artifact selections, now with Solo Operative removed. The resilience DR reduced. All coupled with they won't scale the game to how many players there are beyond the Legendary Campaign - and no thanks to that. It leaves soloplaying and soloplaying with matchmaking in a very impoverished state. PS I actually went back into Anthem last week. It STILL amazes me how far ahead of the game they were with better graphics, better feel, better combat, better combos. Such a travesty this wasn't corrected completed, supported properly.

4 RepliesI love these forums so much you would not even believe. People who can't spell (even their own usernames) Arguments that go on for pages People who say they 'main' something in the game (Like it's a -blam!- job) People asking for items in the cash shop People saying "Bring this back!" Instead of expecting new content People asking for emblems in a videogame to show they were in the military (My #1 fave) People who say "I don't like X changes, so I might stop playing!" *Shakes fist* +hundreds of other reasons I CBA to mention My advice @Chucklestyle get out now, stop playing. Find ANYTHING else to play.

5 Repliesanother filthy casual weeded out! get em out of here bungie they stink.

2 RepliesIs a video game…Make some friends weirdo’s

2 RepliesMy advice? Play your game, not theirs. Set your targets, and stick to those. Don’t let them create fomo. And this season especially? Ignore the “lore”. Destiny’s story is terrible. Characterization is terrible as well. So don’t bother getting invested. Just log in, blow -blam!- up, log out. Makes the game so much more enjoyable.
-
Bungie- “Making content is hard” Community- “playing content is hard” You two were made for each other.
-
I’ve been playing solo for the past few days and haven’t noticed much change. Legend campaign was easier than WQ’s, Hero nightfall is still easy unless your teammates are braindead, seasonal activity becomes a joke after you figure out what’s actually happening. Also, all of this was just with random low-stat gear I’ve been picking up and equipping. Don’t think my resil has been over 5 except for when I forced it to be for solo legend Calus.
-
Try getting to the soft cap - I was frustrated with everything too - but once you hit that things at least become enjoyable again…

4 RepliesBungie has a distain for Casuals, has been that way since Forsaken with Destiny 2. I miss the Vanilla D2 and how Casual it was. Bungie also doesn’t care about Solo Players either, they haven’t since Destiny 1. Which is why I don’t play Destiny anymore.

Can confirm stasis titan does not feel good lol
-
I love being a solo casual, wouldn't play any other way.
-
No, it's not. And I'm mostly a solo player. With the addition of loadouts, things are clicking now. I think all the hate for the expansion is warranted, but some of the qol stuff is just fantastic. I can finally grind out mode-specific gear the way it was intended to be done.

Edited by Klaus_Reaper (Adept): 3/5/2023 11:39:11 AMStrikes are Boring, never hard at least for me, if you check my hunter, im just swapping gear until 1800, no mods no builds and im playing solo.

Lets take a deep breath Solo content is fine, I havent noticed much of a difference although we have lost variety. Havent used osteo striga or trinity ghaul yet, you have many many alternatives. Titan strand super is amazing, simply amazing right now, at least for me. In fact, at this moment, strand supers are top on damage output, and they are excellent for crowd control, I do admit I wasnt sold by it at first but once you start getting use to it they work well. I have done end game content as well as use it on the legendary campaign without any issues, but it did take a while to get the hang of it, and having limited access to fragments at first doesnt help either. I am mostly a solo player. I have done everything solo except for those activities that require a team or that they are just not worth doing solo as doing them with a team is much quicker, like the spire dungeon, legend weekly, dares, and thats about it, all my teams were LFG Point is, just get out there and play the game and dont worry much about difficulty, it will get easier. Other titan builds you can use are, solar titan, synths with void weapons with volatile, excellent healing, good crowd control, stasis titans are good as well, void are also very good now that volatile is so easy to proc.

Wow, crying about the Vanguard playlist🤣 Imagine that
-
There’s the door. You’re free to leave.
-
Idk I've been soloing everything and done the story twice so I'm good personally. I do think some of the upper end difficulty increases seem just a tad too harsh, but that's only in very high level stuff.
-
All there is to this expansion is friendship. I don’t even understand how you can play this expansion solo. I’d run solo survival on Division 1 all day rather than playing LF solo. I genuinely don’t even understand how one can have fun solo. And I’m not talking about difficulty. It’s boring AF.

Use the fireteam part of the app. Works like a charm. I use it a lot. Most times you don't even have to use a mic.
