After that awful campaign, Bungie thinks it's a good idea to mock their community.

In a now deleted tweet from Destiny UK, they think it's funny to mock the community for our frustration with the poor story telling in Lightfall.
Story they have assured us, will be available for purchase later in the year through seasons.

Yeah it is kinda funny.
But Bungie needs to learn to read the room.
They just dropped the most expensive dlc destiny has ever had, and botched it in almost every aspect, especially regarding the story.
On top of that, they're now gonna try and sell us the rest of the story as seasonal content.

It’s making the same point, I spent the last two days trying to get people to stop complaining long enough to understand. 1. It’s not time yet for that reveal. 2. We have another two years to get to that point. 3. The campaign ended an a cliffhanger. A well respected plot device from before the age of binge-watching. It hooks people into a story and leaves them hanging, so that they come back for the next installment. (The more people rage, the more it shows that the cliffhanger has had the desired impact. Hence BUNGIE’s amusement.) 4. The characters don’t understand The Veil or [spoiler]where The Witness ran off to with The Traveler. So it’s not time for us to know either.[/spoiler] 5. At this point in the history of the franchise, if isn’t clear that the game is one continuous narrative and none of these expansions are a self-contained product—-a point Bungie doubled down on in that GDC lecture that made the rounds a few months back—-I really don’t know what to tell you. Bungie has done everything but climb to the top of a skyscraper and scream it down at us. If we refuse to listen…. Relax, people. This isn’t going to accomplish anything.

To this day they are still trying to retcon past mistakes, almost like a person that keeps lying over and over to cover up the first lie. The original lie being- they never had a coherent game plan for this games' narrative in the first place.

Of course they mock you cause why wouldn't they? The players will still preorder the next thing sixteen months in advance or whatever. It's a joke all around. Not only is gaming dying but players are killing it by throwing around they're money at products then crying about how they hate the product. If you hate it don't buy it then maybe Bungie would need to try harder next time. Falls on deaf ears... ...

They try to save it by unlocking us all Strand fragments and the fanboys act like “they’re listening”… One of my biggest frustrations now is that they put the stomps up to 11 again because they’re lazy and think that means “making the game harder”… this falling off the map has killed me 50% of the time and it’s dumb as -blam!-! But hey they’ve met the quota’s for other things…

modern games selling is about initially soend on hype, streamers etc. you develop in background costing a lot of money, then marketing get fans hyped, then streamers get early access and never criticise to keep doing their job. Then fans will pay over the odds Tell me now how much the spend would be atm if you bought everything at once? I know it's over a long period, but it will be several hundred pounds I guess?

From what I have heard the ending in the campaign is not the true ending but it’s story will continue all year in the seasons which is strange and that post they made is messed up.look I can forgive bungie for a lot of things because I know they are working hard like when lightfall came out there were almost no queue times which is good but bullying other loyal fans is crossing the line and that’s a punch in the back of the head and I hope who ever replied to that gets karma but at least we will know what the new raid will most likely take place

Had I known Going in that the story was going to be told over the course of a year instead of just the dlc I paid for then I wouldn’t be so angry. But that pales in comparison to the rage I feel when I remember that they vault ALL seasonal content at the end of the year. And for people that decide to get into destiny in final shape they’ll have no clue who anyone is and no way to get any of said background info other than the community or YouTube videos. It would be like me convincing someone to get into Halo but they have to start halo 3 or odst and can only get background info about the lord through YouTube videos or books. Halo 1 and 2 are disabled and can’t be accessed by anyone ever so it’s the best you got. Majority of new lights would say -blam!- this and leave because the lore of the story can be great. But when the back text is taken away every year anyone who is behind or new won’t have anything to know.
