As a AAA developer, you should be ashamed and embarrassed
You fooled all of us, congrats. I hope you're proud. I hope many others take this as a wake up call, like I did. I'm never buying another title from you guys again. Enjoy my $100, scammers.

1 ReplyCalling Bungie triple A these days is a good one, not gonna lie. Bungie is F tier at best with their current quality standards. They are horrible. They simply don't belong in the same categorie as other actual triple A's. Yes, Ubi, Activision, EA all have their flaws and are somewhat greedy. Their games actually have quality standards these days tho that's undenyable. Might not be everyones cup of tea. Yet you can actually feel that tons and tons of devs (including senior devs) worked on the games. Bungies recent releases tho? Zero quality standards, cringe teen drama stories, terrible game support, no feedback other than that of top 0,1 elitists is heard, more and more cash grabs with no reasoning other than greed. Quality going down, prices going up, even quantity is terrible. I burned through this major release in under 15 hours. Including all the arbitrary useless grind. That's a total of MAYBE 5-8 hours of valuable game time without the unneeded grind. Not worth 60 bucks. Not even 20 at this point. (And yes, i finished the legendary campaign, did all 3 exo quests, finished both catalyst quests, grinded rituals for new stuff, grinded the new activities on the new planet, fully upgraded strand. AND finished this weeks timegated seasonal stuff. 2 away from power cap aswell) My guys all that in about 15 hours and literally being done with a major DLC is laughable.) F Bungie.

You need a sense of shame to be ashamed. Bungie either has no shame or a humiliation -blam!-, either way it doesn't serve to dissuade them.

6 RepliesI’m ashamed. I did all that talking about how no one should pre order just to turn around and buy when it releases. And for what? The dang soundtrack sounded good to me. I waited until the last min, but I Still ignored all my instincts. Knowing im usually right when it comes to predicting the dlcs. I ignored my own advice. I was right this time and still paid. Don’t be me guardians. Don’t place faith in the wrong places or people.

It all feels so rushed. It’s obvious no heart went into Lightfall. I’ve been here since week one of D1. I’ve seen the game change over and over. The last time I ever *loved* something from this franchise is The Dark Below story. When I started playing the missions legendary solo, it didn’t feel put together at all. The checkpoint system feels like they just randomly picked where to put it. A lot of the mechanics to complete said mission are just so bland and repetitive. The story itself was so hyped up that I think they didn’t care about anything else besides that first cinematic. The community is upset at the lack of answers and while it’s good to keep hoping and guessing, sometimes it’s far too old and far too long of a wait to care anymore about the story. Bungie is not a new company. They are experienced, they should know better. Whoever is in charge should know better. Neptune’s design is pretty, but it’s underdeveloped. The character concepts are cool, but you have to read several lore pages to understand what exactly is happening there on Neptune. Bungie is relying too heavily on that part. They need to tell it through gameplay. Strand is definitely not as fun as they made it out to be. They know this. If they decide to implement changes to it, nobody will care to play it. It’s a rushed super, it feels like a bunch of word soup mashed into a superpower. The delay of a grapple is absolutely stupid. They can’t separate PvE from PvP apparently, so a lot of the Strand problems will be obnoxious to navigate. They don’t care either way. Whoever made the decision to cut content out or move it or rush it will see how dangerous of a choice it was. There’s some good things here, but Bungie is absolutely one company who’s been in the game for a while. Maybe they thought this filler DLC would buy them time to polish up their mistakes. But if it wasn’t ready, don’t release it. Obviously that won’t fly with who’s in charge, the entertainment industry is one big tar pit of greed and ignorance and manipulation.

5 RepliesDay one d1 dork here, and Im six or so “missions” in to this story and its just like beyond light. I disliked beyond light so very much because it was basically stasis training with little actual story and with a one dimensional baddy. But beyond light was quite a big tedious campaign or maybe just doing it three times makes it feel that way? These new LF missions are basically as follows: rally, ghally and two chest open. Then run, jump to next section, repeat rally ghally, two chests part. Then you know its the end of the mission when “oh wow green stuff” then you’re forced to kill the room with this annoying new super. Sprinkle in some bad writing and you got Lightfall. I feel stupid just talking about it because i paid the 100$ as well. Relearning our mods and a gimmick of a commendation/guardian ranks system actual stings a bit worse because I knew the campaign would be bad I didn’t know they would pawn this pointless stuff off as content. The completely empty “planet” of Neptune is not a new thing. It just looks alot worse that most other spaces. Its hollow, cheap and dirty designing and yes they should feel bad for this product.

I passed on Lightfall so I could spend $100 buying skins for Don't Starve Together to complete my collection. They are functionally useless. But Klei is a functionally better dev.

1 ReplyOur entire builds got nerfed into the ground. I had builds for each character I spent alot of time on and grinding for and BLAM! All my best mods are gone and the strategy reduced to weapon types. This kind of major slight of hand not so subtle changes were a PR bait and switch that should have waited for Destiny 3. Notice that we weren't given a TWAB for all the extra grind we need to do now and how all our guardians got stripped down to a shell of what we made. All those tweaked out perks we collected and raked over forever are just POOF!! Bungie is great at PR stunts and making each DLC seem great beforehand because they withhold stuff they know will effect their sales. Bungie may as well be Disney at this point. Of course, they are owned by the same company that owns Spider Man, so there you go.

1 ReplyNo point in blaming Bungie! They get what they deserve. I left ages ago and have only found out they've disabled the exotic glaive because it deals too much damage (still the same old, with no testing). Better games coming out within a month or two.

They fooled the people that ignored every red flag waving right in front of their faces that believe "they actually hear the community's feedback".
