Let’s Talk About The “New” Weapons…
Do I have to say it? THEY ARE LITERALLY THE SEASON OF THE LOST WEAPONS RESKINNED!
Bungie, Since you love reusing stuff so very much, Why not update and bring back the original Queen’s Guard weapons from the first Destiny? Ya know, The ones you’d get for completing the Prison of Elders?
The fact that Vanguard, Crucible and Gambit have absolutely no new Armor or Weapons after a YEAR is downright ridiculous for a developer team your size.
You have dozens of armor sets and weapon appearances to use from the predecessor game but for some unknown refuse to take inspiration from.
As a longtime fan of this franchise, It has been heartbreaking to see this game regress from the quality it was able to produce so long ago.

Agreed. Also a little annoyed here is yet another dlc with very little new exotics or even reworked returning exotics. 2 new armour for each class and a handful of weapons each dlc is lazy.

Reskins have been a staple since the very start of D1. Takes a lot less time for them to start with a base weapon frame that already exists and adjust stats/perks etc than to build weapons from scratch. I’m more interested in what a weapon can do than what it looks like, so reskins don’t bother me.

2 RepliesPost is sort of contradictory. In one breathe you’re complaining of reskinned weapons , and the next your asking them to bring back the weapons and gear models from the previous game. How about the design team just DESIGN something new and fresh and stop adapting and porting content from previous expansions/games I understand your point on the reskins , but porting destiny 1 into destiny 2 isn’t desirable for me. I already bought destiny 1 , played it and conquered. It needs to stay in the past.

No love or care put in to any of the weapons for a yearly fully payed DLC. Sad really. Just stick a shader in them and change the perks and boom. You would think the an art team would be excited to make new weapon models. Guess not.

id prefer D1 queensguard over lost any day...at least those stand out. like damn.
