Destiny is now dead.
Fixed light levels? Then why even bother having light level at all. They took out leveling in a level based game. The storyline is a joke. Couldnt log in for the first hour. Everyone should be getting a refund from the pitiful excuse of a DLC. Once again everything is just reskinned. How many mods and weapons are disabled because bungie took billions of dollars from players and ran. At the end of D1 we get shown the black fleet 6 years later and ill we know that a triangle is drawn on the traveler. There is no coming back from this horrible experience. Been playing for 8 years and this is just a slap in the face. I hope other people see how bad this is and stop playing. Cant wait for the day bungie has to close its doors. Everyone at bungie should be ashamed at what his game has become.

That's a really "dead" number. Probably the apex of toxicity is actively and vocally wishing for people to lose their jobs. I also can't believe that more than a 100 of y'all upvoted the above outrage fueled word salad slathered in a heaping glop of frustration. I get it, it's not their best foot forward but it's also not the worst expansion they've ever released. I heard there is a new emote in Eververse called "Touch Grass". I'm going to go spend some Silver and get it on your behalf. Have a wonderful and stress-free day.

1 ReplyLet me preface by saying I agree with you. Also I want to say that there are no games that can challenge Destiny. There wasn’t one before and there still isn’t and they know this as well as most of us. We hop off and play other games and find ourselves right back here eventually.

The game isn't dead. The developers have lost their mojo. There is no more fun left in the game. Destiny 1 had it all! It was fun, balanced, energetic, and so much immersion that the exploration was incredible. Destiny 2 is an old horse being flogged to death, hense why I haven't bought it after seeing one of my mates play it. I'm just not sold.

Ehhhh... give it about 4 to 6 weeks after the honeymoon faze of WFRC. (WORLDS FIRST RAID CLEAR). If the raid is remotely boot cheeks like the campaign. We will see COO numbers! It serves them right if this happens!

10 RepliesNot sure about dead but it feels bad, it feels like bungie stole money. They got the Sony money and decided to put in the bare minimum stop being a gaming company became a virtue signaling token representation social justice company first and a game maker second or third. They listened to the hard core minority company and turned a fun game into this mess. This expansion feels like a middle finger to the casual player who doesn’t have a lot of time but still finds time for fun activities they like or want to explore now those activists are filled with unnecessary hard enemies and dead game play. The new location is just… blah. Things feel lazy and shoehorned together. But it can be saved but bungie will have to acknowledge their mistake reverse almost all of their nerfs and make the game fun again like in witch queen. But bungie won’t do that. They live in an echo chamber of toxic positivity.

5 RepliesBungie lovers don't like reading the phrase "dead", that's why its not upvoted more. You are totally right tho. The quality standards have dropped far, far below acceptable. This is not Destiny anymore. I think its due to the fact that Bungie has shifted literally all their talented senior devs to the upcoming games and only a skeleton crew consisting of entitled zoomer junior devs are still working on this cash cow game. Bungie is killing the game themselves and they explicitly use the terms "DESTINY" will keep going after the final shape. That's more than enough of an indicator that "DESTINY 2" is already written off in their heads. Their wording is always very specific. Playing a literal DEAD game that has an expiry date is not fun. Thats why they keep being vague. Investing a lot of time into an MMO that has a massive time sink is just not worth it if it will be replaced in like 2 years and be actually taken down/not updated anymore. I will take my consequences and play A LOT less.
