As I guessed, I don't like it, up close damage with all this nerfed resilience and increased difficulty. Titan goes near a yellow bar with the abilities and there dead. No grenade and the tartan rope in its place mmmm...
Melee kinda the same as the super mmmmm where have I seen that before, oh yes void shield.
It's just as useful as spectral blades in pve for a hunter and we know how that goes. New super ability and probably won't use it in pve

Strand feels great, however strand titan just doesn’t feel powerful. I understand what they were going for and how they wanted melee but I think the main problem is that when I’m trying to use the melee or the super I just don’t feel powerful. I use solar I can feel the power, I use void power, ark you can bet i feel the power. But strand it just feels sort of there, almost like an obligation. I think the problem the dev’s had was that the other subclasses have already sort of reached the endpoints of melee smash, which is by far the funnest part of the melee builds. Leaving strand with no where to actually go with melee and the melee slash just doesn’t have the same feeling or satisfaction.

1 ReplyOn the last boss in legendary, it took me 30+ tries because I kept getting booped off the platform by a Tormentor...and every time I saw the strand option...I always said "NOPE" ....I did try it once but once I hit my super I booped myself off the platform....so yeah...I stucked with my Solar build and I think I won't be getting into Strand if I don't have to.

1 ReplyStand requires the player to stay near enemies. And then we get the resil nerf. The build nerf. Back then, Protective Light was nerfed. In some activities we will stay perma nerfed on Light Level, so even if you reach the max it will never be comfortable. In other words, the subclass is virtually useless in hard content, like GMs, since the most important thing is survivability. Maybe Strand, with some time, will just fill the role of "Movement subclass". Other than that, there is no real utility.

7 RepliesHonestly, I thought it was fairly good, better than behemoth, but that's not a very high bar to clear. The grapple through off my gameplay cycle, but that's not a bad thing, just different. What absolutely kills it is no way to increase survivability. Something needs to give health regen. Right now it's just terrible because you have to throw yourself into enemies to do anything, but get melted because you can't heal. I knownit has woven mail but I have no idea if it does anything or even helps.

It should have been a choice and not forced on everyone. This was a waste of $100. Not sure if I’ll keep playing. Definitely never paying again.

1 ReplyYa im not sure what Bungie was thinking....the melee has HORRIBLE tracking, Drengr's Last suffers from any bumps or descending walkways, the super looks cool but if a boss stomps (even at t10 resil) you're either dead or near dead. They really thought, after everyones dread pre release, that we would like it when we got our hands on it...even know all our fears and worries were justified.

Suspending barricade is good. The subclass could be tougher though, hopefully upcoming aspects will make the subclass more fleshed out. The melee shoulda just been a shoulder charge, the cooldown is so high that having three charges feels a little pointless. A severing shoulder charge woulda been much better imo.

Ugh did you even beat the Campaign. YOU CAN UNLOCK TWO MORE GRENADES. Grenade 1 the Rope ( The Rope changes your melee and doesn't use a melee charge when you Rope in and then melee.) Grenade 2 you throw three knifes, and if they hit they launch the enemy up Grenade 3 damage Grenade you throw worms that's act like the seek mines from Colony.

3 RepliesWell, I haven’t tried it, but as a Hunter main, I think the Hunter Strand super is -blam!-, so looking forward to trying Titan. Idk, maybe I’m just spoiled with using burst DPS supers after a while, but the whole spinning chain thing just doesn’t do it for me. Sure, I can clear a ton of immediate ads and do some combos, but I have weapons for that. Looking forward to trying Warlock, too.

On the bright side you can spam the super's light attack in PvP and it seems rather annoying. Idk why you'd run it tbh based on the limited stuff I've seen.
