i understand that the old mod system was confusing and not explained to new players at all, but i hope you see what you've done here, for pvp specifically, and for hunters more than the other classes.
thanks to the rework of powerful friends, since it no longer gives you a mobility bonus, most hunters will now be running with a single stat at tier 10, maybe 2 if they're lucky in pvp. what have you done. which one of you thought that this was a good idea?
Edit: well, after reading the comments I can’t figure out what the community thinks, but I have a sneaking suspicion that we will see the hunter population continue to fall. Thanks bungie, never thought I’d be saying this but at the moment even Battlestate Games is doing a better job than you, and that says a lot.

Bungie finally decided to listen to the players and gave us all the mods at once, so we didn't have to check ada 1 daily. Two months later, bungie decides we have had the good life long enough they come in and throw all the good mods away and replaces them with garbage mods. Thee end.

1 ReplyHunter main here, had quad hundreds before lightfall, still have doubles and two 70s. This post is nonsense. Hunters will hunter for life.
-
13 RepliesWhen they released the game, they said they wanted the game to feel like a power fantasy. After the rework, power is a fantasy.

Imagine being the poor intern tasked with writing this weeks TWAB...

They love to make unwanted and unwarranted changes and then not make changes we want. • Removed Stat Bonus from Powerful Friends. • Removed Stat Bonus from Radiant Light. • Removed Stat Bonus from Quick Charge. Quick Charge loosing its Handling Buff will make shotgunning feel so much slower for everyone but a Ophidian Warlock (I’m a sniper main BTW).

1 ReplyLightweight weapon is 20 mobility. Dragons shadow is 50 mobility after a dodge for 10 seconds. So you can effectively run 30 mobility if you use both. Too bad dragons shadow still looks terrible.
-
8 RepliesDidnt they just lower dodge cooldown? Is tier 8 mobility that much worse than tier 10s?
-
So who wanted this ???? 🤷🏻♂️
-
3 RepliesKind of good if hunter population drops right? I mean it's been the highest for ever and no one's given a rip about locks or titans being on the same level for pvp and PvE so probably a good thing.
-
1 ReplyThe Hunter population continue to fall? It’s been only on the rise over the last two years, lol.
-
4 RepliesSo let’s see here. One class was getting a free +20 to their main stat while the others were not, and you’re surprised this eventually got changed? Get over it and learn to play with the same stat pool as everyone else.
-
2 RepliesI think it’s just annoying in general to spend literally months grinding for all the mods and perfect builds and they are just all gone now. No warmind cells, no charged with light mods, no elemental wells. It’s just over and over. Grind grind grind and poof it’s all gone. What’s the point!?
-
I hate the build crap for being over-simplified, but dammit I sure am glad hunters are triggered. Good riddance.
-
Give us our powerful friends back!
-
2 RepliesI like the new mods. It’s simpler.
-
Its these kind of changes that made me burnout with Destiny.
-
2 RepliesYep screws over all classes not just hunter just a fat nerf to all guardians nothing more nothing less
-
Ya.. every Mod is pretty much gone and has become confusing as hell. Finishers get the most mods . And the whole Orb of light focus is a joke. You have to run to where you created the Orb, then have to use it in 9 seconds.. ya you can slow it down but there's not many ways to make an orb. The timer needs to go.

6 RepliesHa, Bungie bamboozled us with the mod rework. One could argue the mod rework was a veil for sunsetting op builds and usher in newer less powerful builds. Bungie knew full well what they were doing and seemingly not transparent with it at all. Now hardcore players will be ok and will grind their eyeballs out to redo/renew old builds while striving for current ones. Casual players are absolutely cooked on this as well as solos. Next time, just say you are nerfing the best most powerful mods and rip the band-aid off faster. Bungie, how much do you make in revenue off big paid carry sites? And how much more revenue did you create by locking out a large portion of your player base from more difficult activities that folks would pay for? Play your way right? Nope Power fantasy? Nope

5 RepliesHunters crying again, imagine my shock. Literally the lowest skill gap class in the game.
-
1 ReplyBungie attempts to balance hunters and the crying starts. The water is wet and the grass is green. Keep crying and get good kiddos.

Every single time I’ve finally either gotten a grasp on things or followed enough YouTubers to get the close enough perks and stats to make something of a build, bungle -blam!- me and turns it -blam!- over tea kettle. It’s forcing me to use this strand -blam!- which lofts me in the air and I keep getting shots up, I can’t turn invisible, so I get shot up, or my little grapple melee whiffs so I get shot up or blown up. I don’t know what the -blam!- to do, I’ve tried different weapons, to no avail. I guess I’m just -blam!- on this.

1 ReplyI want the firepower mod back, my stasis and void warlock builds revolved around that mod, 4 stacks to be precise.
-
Well at least in pve last season about 80% of the players had NO stat at max. So yeah.
