Yeah it is cheating. I think everybody including Bungie knows this. I'm really curious what percentage of people playing PvP use these devices. Is it less that 1% or is it 20% or more? I really have no clue.

  • Well, when I did my video on the subject a couple years back, just two of the companies that made these things (zim and chronus max back then) claimed they'd both shipped over half a million units roughly. That's only TWO of the innumerable options now. It's clear they're making gobs of these damn things.

  • It's on the rise now that Bungie has said it isn't against TOS or anything. You just order it online and plug it in and get free kills. Why wouldn't tons of people use it? It's sickening that Bungie doesn't consider it cheating. It's blatant cheating and there's no other way to look at it.

Ugh. But then again, the video's from the cheating days in Trials on PC from a few years ago show that loads of people are indeed willing to cheat in a very visible manner. So if it is not even visible probably more people would do this. :(

  • Higher percentage prolly. Constantly seeing 1350s, lvl 1 to 10 for the season getting 21.0 kds etc in busted comp. We all know what's doin. Straight up bums are the ones that gotta cheat.

Best one recently was taking someone health bar completely, they just killed me and walked off with an empty health bar. Couple that with PC players literally being able to swap and deploy abilities faster than a console player can, makes it a disheartening experience, especially for below average players like myself.

Um pc players can’t use abilities faster wtf. You have all your abilities linked to a single button press too. Were you not aware of this?😂

  • A well skilled player can still use all their abilities in the same amount of time since they all have animations. (I’m assuming you’re referring to being able to use say a grenade, then a melee and then a super). The only thing macros are really nice for are jump skating, either with warlock burst glide going up an incline, or titan skating. I’ve never heard of anyone actually using macros in pvp. Like idek what macros you would use. We have full auto for every weapon now. I feel like that’s the only macro that people would’ve wanted to use in pvp

  • Macros for switching abilities. It’s a bit silly but I wouldn’t be surprised at all. People have been abusing the pc side of Destiny in pvp. Macros are easy to do so anyone looking for an edge in a cheat fest will go it.

Yet, somebody found a technique called reload skipping which can be applied to the weapon The Mountain Top to fire rounds about 25% faster than normal." Not that relevant now, I know. There are scripts and macros out there that do allow cheating. Hence the Bungie code of conduct that has banned all macros.

  • Interesting. Well at the end of the day, I can definitely say that personally, macros would not help me in pvp, I feel like I would be giving up a lot of my control over my actions. I feel like a lot of top players would agree. I can definitely see them being used in pve though, similar to the example you gave

  • None of what you mentioned can be attributed to those devices... that's simply just lag/desync/bungo p2p whatever you want to call it -

Everybody up there has almost perfect aim, map awareness and movement. I believe that ximmees are between top 2% and top 0.1% , but again, its so hard to tell who is actually onto something and who is not.
