Ghaul was honestly such a cool villain. It’s a shame the boss fight was a complete joke

I agree that Ghaul was a good villain, however I do not agree with, his battle was a complete joke. That is your opinion and and a fact. Some enjoyed it and others didn't. The problem with gamers like you now, is also the problem with streamers. Us true gamers and streamers of the past, we have opinions. If we don't like a game. We will say, we don't like and maybe you might because it's an opinion and not a fact. Gamers and streamers today like you... if you don't like something, you hate and everyone should as well. Therfore, your opinion becomes a fact... which is crazy.

The Red War in general was a really good campaign, shame they removed along with a large chunk of the game.

Dude😳 You must have the worst internet EVA. This post is about 5 years late. But I agree. Hopefully we'll get to go toe to toe with Xiva soon and she will be an even bigger force.

Ghaul was pretty cool. The red war campaign was certainly more coherent then what we got from D1 vanilla. That being said most of destiny’s in game story telling is pretty tame and sterile. The big evil bad with some minor twist in their own agenda and we shoot stuff. Which is fine for what the game is I suppose. Most of the potentially interesting story beats that could have character driven arcs of their own happen in the Grimoire. Take Shayra for instance. There is an imperfect character that struggles with ptsd. Or the drifter during his dark age years when he hid from warlords and iron lords alike. That stuff seems like fertile ground for some more colourful stories with some potential for emotional impact. What we got instead is super virtuous Zavala and his heroic and picture book tragic past family life. Or Misraks born into evil and now turned pure and noble raising his painfully naive daughter. And so on. Idk, I have a hard time feeling anything for these characters. Maybe part of it is the age rating of the game. It seems to try and shield players from anything more intense or disagreeable, but still. In this day and age video games have come up on par with movies and books in terms of story telling, just not Destiny I’m afraid. Oh well, still like playing the game, mind you.

The only spot where Savathun shines over Gaul was that Savathun actively engaged with us and we with her. With Gaul we meet him at the beginning of the game and then nothing until the final confrontation. But as I was telling people elsewhere just recently, Red War as a campaign experience probably can’t be beat just due to how stacked it was, because it was a new game that had 2-3 years of development.

It’s probably 90% the armor but he reminded me of Pre Sons Horus.

Wait till Ghaul is a tormentor

8 RepliesGhaul also forgot that we are already dead. We are just Zombies. We’ve been dead for decades. Maybe centuries. Lore is lost. Even the enemy is confused and out of touch, just like the guys who made this lame game. Hahahahahahaha! There is nothing here. Welcome to hollowness!
