Exotic armor should have the artifice slot.

Exotic armor should have the artifice slot, because it would help even out stats and adds to the potency of the armor. In light fall for those who don’t know. You’ll be able to pick a +3 in any stat. Exotics should have this feature as well. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

  • I swear I remember reading somewhere that Bungie devs actually talked about this, and said they couldn't because of certain design limitations. Basically it was that the slot they use for Artifice mods is already in use for the exotic perk. Not sure how true this is, but its food for thought.

Got a few pieces for sale cheap, just missing a slot

      • That’s something I’d be down to see. I think most exotics simply need to be reworked/buffed so they are viable. Maybe 15-20% of all exotics are used often, with the others being extremely niche or redundant.

        exotic armor should have catalyst. and for a lot of them it should be stat boosts. something like: Shinobu's Vow - gets +15 to discipline, Icefall Mantel - gets +15 resilience. and others could enhance the exotics traits, something like: Orpheus Rig - tethers an extra enemy and last 5 sec longer, The Stag - your rifts damage enemies that enter them, rifts from your death deal bonus damage.

      • Just watch them re-introduce our current Exotics as rare Exotic (Artifice), so everybody gets to re-grind their armour pieces.

            • I would be totally fine having exotics drop with artifice slots. But I would imagine it wouldnt be all drops, just drops from specific sources.

              • I can’t help but wonder if with the game’s technical limitations, would adding Arty slots to exotics be more feasible or having Glass Needle-like consumables to redistribute stats. Hopefully they have something in the works if they have listened to literally anyone’s feedback regarding stats. Exotics aren’t the proverbial unicorns they used to be like in D1 anymore and there is honestly little to no incentive to rerun Sectors for drops with such little chance to get what you want out of the entire pool with the closest-to-right stats you’d want. At least a consumable would add something to the grind to circumvent losing player investment if that’s such a boogeyman that they’d want to not address the LS loot problem.

                • I agree, this would make the exotic armor more valuable to get compared to legendary armor and right now they feel like legendary armor just with unique designs and perks
