Players speedrunning the Vanguard Ops playlist need to go touch some grass
Listen, if you want to speed run Strikes, go form a fireteam to do it with you. If you jump into the playlist as a solo player, grief your matchmade teammates by sword-skating through encounters when they are trying to play the game normally (and end up having to wait for them to complete the encounter without you), get salty when they don't follow your lead and physics kill them with the Architects, YOU are the problem here, not them.
And if you do all of that and your teammates emote on you when you die/fail, you don't get to be even saltier and try to kill them during the boss fight because you end up not saving any time with your shenanigans.
This may sound like and incredibly specific, one time situation, but this has happened to me the last 5 times someone has tried speedrunning in the Vanguard Ops Playlist. Every time, if there is a player that is trying to use speedrun strats to get through a playlist strike, they follow this exact behavior pattern.
These players need to calm down, maybe set the game down for a bit, take a nice relaxing bubble bath or something, because they certainly act like they need it.
EDIT: I love how so many people who commented on this post just told on themselves that they are the players I am talking about. I never said I was going slow or taking my time, I spoke about how the speedrunning players kept using sword-skating techniques to move past entire encounters. They managed to get past barriers in Insight Terminus that normally don't open until all the enemies are dead, and they managed to skip every gondola section in the Lightblade, only to emote sit and wait for us because we had to do the encounter normally in order for them to progress.
The fact that so many of you instantly took offense to me calling these players out and assumed the worst about me says more about you than anything else XD

You cant stop speedrunning, but you can start a lfg and ask who joins not to speedrun. Speedrunners die often in there run, then you dont revive them and do your thing. When they are ahead of ylu they often skip allot of enemies, you can shoot them all for when you do Bounties. The only thing that sucks about speedrunners, is that they transport you to the Endboss and thats about it. Faster Pinnacle for me, because i only play strikes for the Pinnacle.

So I find it annoying when they speed run. I will just wander around and finish Banshee bounties or other strike bounties when they do that. I figure if they’re so fixed on the final boss, fine. I’ll just cruise around and finish bounties until I am pulled forward because they die.

Can understand the griefing but most aren't there for sightseeing, you have patrol for that. You don't have to kill every dreg, but if I'm not only going faster and getting the most kills I'm pulling whoever is behind me.

I've suggested multiple times some sort of mech that allows speedrunners to match with other speed runners. Or, again, firewalled strikes. But people say it will "divide the match making pool for strikes." Sweeties, it's already divided.

Don't tell other people how to play the game. Sword-skating past trash mobs is not griefing. I think YOU might need to explore getting a fireteam of other concrete-footed guardians so you can go at your own, glacial pace.

I’m sorry but what exactly are you getting out of taking your time in strike? What benefit is there to take 10+ minutes in a strike that gives base loot. Just complete the 3 strikes, and 8 bounties and move on. If it’s THAT much of an issue, pick legend and go in solo.

If you want to take your time and smell the roses then form your own fireteam, champ. Do you see how your truly invaluable advice can go both ways? If you choose to queue into activities with random teammates via matchmaking then you need to stop being a whiny baby and suck it up because not everyone plays like you do. You also don’t dictate how anyone else chooses to play but yourself so get a grip lol. 🤡
