When the lightning spawns from the perk “Stormbringer” and you get close to the lightning it deals about 80% of your overall health which can be annoying when playing Endgame strikes and activities that have restricted spawns/ revives, wish that this would no longer be a thing
For any testers that wanna test this, go to a boss/ high health enemy, hit 3 headshots and sit near that enemy, the storm that will spawn will annihilate you lol, +if its Arc Singe it will probably 1 shot you!

1 ReplyGjallarhorn keeps damaging me when I use it like a shotgun, Bungie plz fix

6 RepliesI am more concerned by the inconsistency of the perk. I was working on the catalyst over the last 2 weeks and noticed that it wouldn't always spawn the lightning strike. Other times, it would spawn a storm grenade with multiple lightning strikes in a wide area I'd say about 80% of the time, it did the typical 1 lightning strike and the other 20% it did one of the other things.

6 RepliesThat's why it's a sniper and you don't use it up close... The strikes will hurt you just like if you shot yourself with a nade or rico rounds or even a rocket.
-
Dont use it like a shotgun in endgame xD
-
It’s a sniper rifle. How close are you getting?
-
3 RepliesHow the hell are you close enough to even be CLOSE to the lightning strikes? I’m curious when this would even happen.
-
Because I’d be willing to bet that in the code the perk literally summons a Storm grenade on top of the enemy. Storm grenades do about that much self-damage when you stand under them.
-
yeah, you should be able to no scope without taking damage. Totally agree.

1 ReplyLots of ways can get self damage in Destiny so Cloudstrike isn’t a special case . Rather they take out the misadventure or architects that kill you in PvP

6 RepliesI've tested it... you're correct. It's such a niche case though. I'm going to tell you what happened... I can read your mind... not really, lol... but tell me if I'm right: you discovered this while upgrading the catalyst? Then you were like, I never heard of this... let me post about it. 99% that's what happened. The point is, you usually aren't going to be using Cloudstrike at point blank ranges 😇👍💠. So, it's probably a low priority issue in terms of fixing.
