Freelance Trials is one of the worst experiences inside of destiny 2, the matchmaking is probably one of THE worst experiences I have ever had in a video game. The amount of times I match against a somewhat decent team and have 2 .3s put on my team is astonishing. So it is basically left for me to take on a 1v3 and expected to win 7 times in a row? Most recently I did a card on cap zone trials on endless vale where I was able to make it to 5 wins still having mercy and probably 4/5 games I had to do what was essentially a double carry. the 5th game being the only exception cause I was given a player on par or a little better than myself. Then on the 6th game I lost cause yet again it was a 1v3 with my 2 teammates doing quite literally nothing except getting maybe 1 kill. Then the next game rolls around where I no longer have my mercy and who would have guessed it I went against like 3 1.4s or so and my 2 teammates collectively might have gotten 1 kill. Every round that we won I had to do a full team wipe/ annihilation. This is not how the Freelance version of Trials should go. There should be some implemented team balancing. The worst part is I haven't played much this season and my ELO is not even high enough to warrant not getting a balanced team. I didn't go for top 500 this season or any of that nonsense. So there is quite literally no team balancing implemented at all. It ruins the game and makes it feel more like a chore than a fun slightly competetive experience. Bungie needs to stop ruining the PvP of this game and implement some much needed changes ASAP!

3 RepliesQp world championships are worse. Trials is more relaxing 😂

Yeah rng is tricky. I fell at 5/6 wins a lot. The most recent match one guy on my team did 184 damage the whole game lol.

1 ReplyHell I had no problem going flawless not too long ago in freelance. And a few of my teams I had to carry. Especially my very last match. If my team mates aren’t pulling weight, then I sure as hell will pull mines to just win. My favorite match honestly was I believe my third game where both teams were at match point. I had already used my bubble but the other guy on the opposing team had his. I switched to sniper and waited for him in the well area. Then I popped him and his friend, leaving the last guy behind. It’s games like that where you gotta just get creative if you want to *win* in trials.

1 ReplyIt's bad sometimes for sure but I've managed to go solo freelance flawless 4 or 5 times. I have to carry a few rounds at my best for sure. And I'm slightly above average

2 RepliesRemove Freelance Trials forever

3 RepliesYou know that this is literally one of the sweatiest maps in D2, right? You know you have to wait for the sweats to duke it out on Friday night before hopping in, right? You know you can just go in the regular playlist and at least have a chance at getting a duo, right?

1 ReplyIt’s a team based mode. Freelance is where potatoes go to be willingly farmed.

2 RepliesThe population of trials is abysmal right now. Nearly all solos and low to mid+ skilled players have completely stopped playing trials. Trials is pretty dead at this point, even with freelance being this week. If you head into trials, know that your chances of winning, let alone getting flawless, are astronomically against you. It’s all sweats that are pretty much left playing. Anyone who is not in the top 1% will struggle. I’d suggest you simply give up on trials. I gave up after watching a stream. Never played it. Probably never will make an attempt to play it.

So many Freelance Trials matches are decided by lobby division roulette. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/262374441/0/0
