Needing to pay to skip the story with alt characters,
New weapons in newest story expansion are re-skins,
all the other crap you've done in the expansions/dlc prior.
You used to care about quality, about your players, about the games themselves.
Seriously Bungie, what the -Blam!-ing hell happened to you?

2 RepliesThe bungie you used to know released only like 5 pvp maps and called that an expansion....

The bungie you used to know with halo combat evolved is dead, the only thing left is the soulless corpse that is used to make money.

You used to care about quality, about your players, about the games themselves.
Correction, the original Bungie did. Marty, Staten, Gavine, and other talented devs that knew what they were doing. They left years ago, the ones that had a say or pull to actually improve a game and the players experience. This business is nothing like them that made sure they got rid of all those people and put NetEasy a mobile game business on the board. This is a huge part of the reason this game is in such a poor state that it is in.

Your full of crap bungie back then would have bent over backwards to pull the crap they're pulling now they had limited amounts of control back then but now they can do whatever they want. If you want to bs about the past go play those games then, nobody is stopping you but don't kidd yourself bungie was always money hungry back then the difference is they didn't have the authority to pull this crap back then. As soon it went free to play everyone should have known that meant your free to pay for each and every little thing that pops up from this point forward cause thats all free to play games are anyway, nothing but a scam. Bungie hasn't change they just finally showed who they truly are everyone though it was Activision that was scummy nope it was bungie all along big surprise.

You’re right. They probably wouldn’t let you skip the campaign at all.
-
The Bungie you met in Halo Combat Evolved didn’t give you a game where you had different classes and needed to clear the campaign to unlock “end game” content. Bungie back then didn’t sell you DLC, they just made a new game. But then with Halo 2 they were selling map packs between games. The game industry as a whole was different back then. PvP didn’t get balance patches either. If you didn’t like something about a game you’d have to just wait for the sequel. Games didn’t have battlpasses or other micro transactions. MMOs weren’t charging for extra storage or XP boosts. My point is Bungie of 2001 didn’t do this kind of stuff not because they “wouldn’t”, but because they couldn’t and the practice of extra monetization wasn’t normalized. The closest we have to go on is EverQuest in 2002 had a monthly subscription from $10-$40/month.

2 RepliesEdited by ArmyKnight75: 2/19/2023 9:45:16 PMThat Bungie always attempted to exceed expectations and their prior content. The new Bungie says that exceeding expectations is to unrealistic and hard.

Then I bought Xbox purely to have Halo. The company using that name now is not those people. There just another corp. looking for profit (and getting it). Maybe the original Destiny was conceived by those people who started Bungie. Maybe. But they are long gone now. I signed up to play Destiny because I believed it to be a game designed to be way better than it needed to be. A game designed to be insanely good and literally shoot for the stars. Now 'Bungie' is telling us they don't want to overdeliver. Today I signed in to play the last story mission. I already watched it on youtube, but I thought maybe it would have a sense of impact to be on the station for it... Mostly it was just a game level I played a bunch of times already. They tried to give it more by adding a crap ton of trash mobs and then started adding old bosses I have killed a million times.. I just got disgusted and turned my xbox off. As long as their goals are anything less than making the best game ever made, I don't see what Bungie has to offer. Gunship

You used to care about quality, about your players, about the games themselves.
Maybe before Halo. You were just 20 years younger & more easily impressed back then.

Halo didnt have different characters and reskinned every single game.i
-
the bungie in charge of destiny are the interns of the bungie that made halo and you have people like smith who likes to ruin things and try to force players to play like destiny is world of warcraft, which smith admitted was his favorite game and was trying to turn destiny into

1 ReplyYou should buy the Destiny cookbook

19 RepliesEdited by Taejzon23: 2/18/2023 5:40:05 AMThe sad truth is....they know they have a dedicated player base. Therefore, they expose it and profit from it. "AKA" --- a bunch of suckers and whales.

Edited by Jamestown01010: 2/19/2023 3:18:37 PMWhy would they work hard when people keep giving them money for doing the bare minimum? They even use the players to test their game now lol.

1 ReplyEdited by Kenny: 2/18/2023 10:41:36 AMIt's simple, modern Bungie instead of playing to win, is playing not to lose. If the cost of an improvement is higher than the expected short term revenue, they aint gonna do it. A quick buck is safer, than quality that stands the test of time. If you think about, Halo 1 was a crazy idea back then in 2001. Like an FPP shooter that is an exclusive launch title... for a console... that isnt even a PS2. LOL what? No way it's gonna be a massive success, or any success for that matter. Bungie just simply lost that creative "crazyness"

2 RepliesThis is NOWHERE even remotely close to the Bungie that made Halo 1,2,3. Those guys were good and cared about the players and the game, these guys……….are the Nolan Sorrento of Bungie.
-
3 Repliesbro did you just get here ? bungie hasn't been bungie since the lunch of D1.. its died a slow death along side my faith in them
-
It's why all we get is reskinned copy paste content. They've just been re-using OG bungie content over and over again.
-
1 Replysimply greed, all they want is your money and we get very little in return

2 RepliesDon’t be simple minded. It’s a company. It was just a good team with good marketing. Now it’s a bad team with a loyal addicted fan base.
