About the Commendations Bungie
So Bungie...What if you play with trolls?
Like you did good in a raid or nightfall or dungeon but they still give u the baddest commendation?
How will that system even work?
Say u don't die...Have the most kills and assist in a raid or whatever the negative commendation should be locked so the guardians in your FT doesn't give you a commendation u did not deserve?
I have no cluse how that will work i feel like it's a gamble with this system. I feel like it's a coin with the same symbols on each side.
But hey we will see.

I expect the commendation system is just going to be a new way for people to gatekeep. I'm really not looking forward to it.

I see it doing as much as it did in overwatch 1, most people just did not care and did it randomly for the bonus xp, there was the odd -blam!- ranked 1 we could see was a test and then once and a while you’d get someone begging for good reviews. Ultimately it changed nothing

Performance doesn't mean squat if you're a jerk about it. Not dying in a GM is one thing. Teabagging your dead teammates and calling them garbage is another. I don't care how good people are, I care how they act. I'd rather play with 2 sh*tters who are chill and cracking jokes than 2 people playing like gods and being absolutely insufferable while doing it. 2. Add clear in raids means nothing. People doing mechanics often have the lowest add clear because they're too busy carrying bombs, solving the puzzles, or making the call outs to farm kills. I'd be far more likely to give a commendation to people who know how to do mechanics than I would for someone's add clear. You don't deserve kudos for having Trinity Ghoul and an add clear super. EVERYONE has Trinity Ghoul and add clear supers. *Edit* One exception to the add clear rule is master Vow. Lack of add clear in first encounter leads to wipes, and third encounter is basically just add clear on the run. High add clear in Master Vow is about the only time high add clear means you're contributing more than just being a fly on the wall while everyone else does mechanics. Anyway. If you play the game right, you won't have any problems.

I doubt Bungie will make negative reviews available. So you can only go up when you get a positive response but if someone gives you no response you either drop down slightly or not at all… but we shall see.

Not trying to be a jerk, but -blam!- cares? I could not care less about commendations. It’s not like I run around the tower asking for help. Actually, I think it will be more annoying to have higher tier commendations. Then every blueberry in the tower looking for a carry will be blowing you up looking for help on GMs, Trials, master raids and whatnot.

It will be abused BUT by the PVP crowd. In PVE it shouldn’t be an issue.

I wouldn't stress about it, even if you get negative recommendations it shouldn't impact your day to day gaming either with friends/clan/lfg. This system is pointless and doesn't do anything but get players into their own heads.
