4 RepliesTbh freelance trials was never a good idea

1 Reply“Waaah! We didn’t want freelance Trials!” Bungie: “Then why did you ask for it?” 😂

1 ReplyImo freelance shouldn't be a thing, solos can already solo queue into the regular playlist and having two playlists splits the already struggling population. If there must be a separate solo-friendly mode, it should definitely be 1v1 instead of freelance 3v3. No carrying, no getting carried, just win or lose on your own merit.
-
2 RepliesFrankly there are some issues with trials but the no.1 problem isn't actually with the mode. It's players that actively refuse PvP and practicing not managing their expectations when going into a mode designed for PvP mains
-
4 RepliesYou need as much luck to win in Freelance as you do skill. It's just that simple.

4 RepliesEdited by Scourged One: 2/13/2023 12:12:11 PMThen there's me, lol. Played one team game solo... on accident. Had 16 kills, my two teammates had 6 and 4. But we won. Then won 3 in Freelance, then ran with friends for my last 3 and got my 42nd Flawless. Then tried to help clanmates and got our butts kicked a lot. All in all a fun time, lol.
-
8 RepliesI won games, and I like freelance. IMO, it should always be an option.
-
3 RepliesI love how the forum deals in absolutes. You do realize it's different groups asking for freelance and others saying they hate trials, right? It's like that with ever issue on here.

2 RepliesEdited by The Hermit IX: 2/13/2023 5:39:23 AMI don’t play Trials but when I do I laugh at bad players that think it’s everyone else’s fault that they lose.
-
22 RepliesYou forgot the subtitle: "And it's all my matchmade teammates fault."

LMAO. So true.

Edited by easy4now: 2/13/2023 6:12:32 PMI've given freelance trials my first go this weekend. 15 games and 14 times my team were the underdog according to destiny stats. The one game I managed to get a win in was because the other two guys were very good and our team massive favourites to win. One other game was only a 52% chance to lose but generally 80% was the most common with a game this morning being 92% we lost that one pretty hard tbh... (14/15 seemed like a statistical anomaly so I felt it was worth mentioning) I'm playing down at a very low level so I haven't felt a massive individual skill gap but I'm lacking the experience and talent to make much of a difference either way. On the whole I'm thankful for the opportunity to play and see if I can learn to do better and sorry if I've let any teammates down. Edit. I finished up playing 29 games 28 of which my team was expected to lose managing 4 wins in total. I was well rewarded ranking up twice to reach level ten getting the hand cannon along with two forgiveness's, a shotgun and a bow... Ps The one game I got a 2000+ ELO dude he ran about and never fired his gun or used any abilities finishing with 0 damage. I get the feeling we'd have won that game if he'd wanted to. Only one game where a player bailed and I bailed once myself late last night to be fair.

1 ReplyI'll typically have 1 semi decent player and the other is usually a Titan with Peregrine grieves that runs straight towards the enemy and usually dies but on the off chance he doesn't, he usually whiffs, panic spams grenades and barricade and then dies. Or it'll be someone with a "Wheel of Fortune" loadout where they switch to a different weapon every single time they die. I swear I had someone go through their entire collections over the course of a single game. Dude spawned in with a completely different set of armor and weapon loadout every single round. It was honestly hilarious.

5 RepliesI went flawless in Freelance while practically falling asleep earlier today. Total joke of a mode that cheapens Trials entirely. Felt like I was playing Quickplay with how bad everyone was (even on my team). Needs to be removed permanently.
-
1 ReplyThing is they walk into Trials expecting to play Pokermon game level difficulty but find Dark Souls. They think that playing a hard core end game pvp mode means Daddy Bungie will hold their hand and give them easy victories. For them to go into a game mode where the only skill based matchmaking is themselves deciding that they are good enough to play and win is alien to them.

2 RepliesEdited by Ryan Foxling: 2/13/2023 6:40:07 AMI play trials a lot, freelance can be fun if we have a small map, long range maps are so bad for freelance, because teammates literally don't understand what they should do and they fight in really bad spots and it takes to much time to flank. I don't want to fight with a snipers, pulses and bows then my teammates can't even teamshoot, so flanking is the only option. And Radiant Cliffs on particular are so bad in 3v3, you need to check so many positions it's frustrating, it's one of the best maps in 6v6 modes, but not for 3v3. Hopefully we will have a better map next week, because it's going to be freelance as well

1 ReplyAnyone who downvotes this probably sucks at trials, pass it on

Remove Gambit 😉

Don't care about Trials. I logged on, got the Seasonal Challenge done, logged off. As for the Adept weapons? I'll stick to the ones from Raids and GMs. They can do whatever they want with the mode. It doesn't affect me at all.

15 RepliesI love freelance! Went to the lighthouse 3 or 4 times this weekend.
