Honestly since almost no perks work with glaive melee they should just be a primary
Incandescent doesn't work on melee, Unrelenting doesn't work with melee, Rampage, Kill Clip, and Frenzy all don't affect melee.
The damage is already terrible. Testing in the Throne World a shot from a Glaive does 29,424, and a Melee does 16,729. By contrast my Snipers crit damage is 50,672 and my aggressive sidearm's burst does 8,068 (4,034 per bullet)
The Glaive feels like a sword that you sometimes shoot, yet all the perks only activate on that shot. I'd say either lean harder into making the shot great so it can be a decent special, or nerf the shot and let us have a primary sword

Add Osteo Striga and you'll have an absolute blast.

1 ReplyGlaves are garbage, have been ever since they were introduced. I hate them. Got all 3 exotic versions and honestly can't for the life of me work out why Bungo ever made them. Who in their right mind would ever give up a special slot for a glave, let alone an exotic? Madness!! Anything they can do can be done far better with either other weapons or perks. Just sunset the crap already.

1 ReplyI really think glaives would have been better if the focus had been on the melee not the shooting. but that ship has sailed and now they are a weapon i only bring out for challenges and bounties.

What you're asking for would break the archetype.

It does feel so middling that it’s not particularly useful. I don’t use them too often but I only really use the shot to drop shields or on the occasional low tier red bar to finish it off from a distance.
