I thought that these were still going to be used for glimmer? According to the latest TWAB they are being depreciated. Why are we going back on this?

14 RepliesThey said you temporarily could change this in for glimmer. Which they made good on. The reason to remove it is they need to remove as many things as they can that aren't needed going forward to make more room for new things as they are VERY limited on what they can put in the game before the engine no longer loads for them, hense the DCV. To use it is just a click of a button to trade in, to them it is a huge amount of code that takes up more room than we realize.

I thought theta these were still going to be used for glimmer? According to the latest TWAB they are being depreciated. Why are we going back on this?
They warned us they'd get yeeted when lightfall goes live, they only let us keep em so we could use them all up at Rahool for glimmer, you had plenty of time, this is on you.

5 RepliesPretty sure Bungie already said that the materials would be gone with Lightfall and we had this season to use them for glimmer.
-
2 RepliesThis season is last season they will be around, they aren't going back on any decision this was explained last time, they can be turned into glimmer now, 2nd page of rahool.
-
12 RepliesIt was only this season that those materials could be used for glimmer & then they’d be deprecated. I’ll need to research to find the exact TWAB/wording.
-
5 RepliesFYI - Here's the TWaB where they went into details of the changes being made to the destination materials. Destination Materials Updates I'll leave this here so people can debate whether or not Bungie made it clear that once Lighfall / Season 20 dropped, that destination materials would be fully depreciated.
-
14 RepliesYeah, I don't know why they're being deprecated, it was said that we could keep them to get glimmer. I still have over 29k of destination materials.
-
8 RepliesWait, WTF? They're gunna make all that -blam!- useless?? Dude, I have millions of that junk and now they gunna just delete it? These forking clowns have no soul. What is the point of playing this game if they just keep taking -blam!- away all the -blam!- time?
-
Best option, buy raid banners just to have and transmat effects for storing it in a way.

Tone deaf idiots are in charge

7 RepliesNo one is playing for fun anymore, so they had to find ways to inflate the grind to satisfy their investors.
-
1 ReplyLove for today, don't save for tomorrow: Bungie motto.
-
3 RepliesNo I believe they said this season they were keeping them for glimmer but at a reduced rate and to cash them in for that fallen event thing last season - I think.

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
I guess that too many people have too much of the old -blam!- and so Bungie fel the need to remove it and replace it with new -blam!- to grind for. Bungie would be as well just saying that they know Lightfall's going to be wafer thin as far as actual content is concerned and thay need to do their usual nonsense of creating additional grind as a substitute.
