Bungie definitely overtoned pulses which isn’t anything new which does make it any less annoying
Most pulse rifles can beat out spits and autos with their ease of use and very forgiving recoil and flinch.

1 ReplyMap rotation, flinch changes and AE produced this current meta. Pulse rifles are very strong, however sidearms and subs are stupidly easy weapons to use up close and if pulse rifles were nerfed even further it would leave a vacuum that just leaves scout rifles to completely dominate in, which is even more boring than the current meta. Hand cannons need a range boost so it doesn’t require an absolute max range god roll to challenge pulse rifles for range.

Well there you have it. Most are fine with where pulses are after the last nerf.

Overtuned? I disagree. They are viable at short to mid-long ranges depending on archetype. and have comparable TTK to HC’s. Personally, HC’s still have too much range and need to be nerfed. Ps. 2 to 3 bursts to down another guardian solo shooting. which means you are standing in the open and deserve to get slaughtered.

I had up and down success with Quicksilver (thanks to the rocket) against various pulse rifles during IB. I still think it's the user vs anything else. But then again, it's been a long time coming where HC's are no longer the go to meta

Everything is on the table at the moment not just pulses . Instead of just hc/ shotty or sniper / hc just boring and predictable. It’s a glorious mess🤷🏼♂️😂

What is the line for too strong, being able to beat handcannons in a 1v1 ? And that's what I hear when something besides Handcannons are meta, "They are too easy to use to be good' -
I Find HC's going dut-dut with a hitbox the size of the Twin Pines hoarding worse.

Ars, pulses and smgs along with the rarity of fusions. Until they decide to fix that then we are most likely going into lightfall with the same meta and the terrible "Loose" sbmm
