So im not a bad player in pvp. I'm not phenomenal either. But why the fuq am I being given layers who can't tell their lefts from rights as my tram while mlg are my opponents? Like my very last game my highest teammate scored 7, the other teams lowest scored 49!
Why am I being matched against stacks when I'm not in a fire team, "fire team based match naking" is bs and this is gonna be just another reason why we hate playing pvp now.
What's your iron bullshjt been like since this newer bs version dropped on Tuesday last week?

You do realize that usually the players at the bottom of the IB report are the best players on the team. Who do you think are keeping their team at bay and back in their spawn while you run around and grab flags? Just another reason kills should be on the board for every PvP mode.

Is that why Bungie enabled matchmaking for Trials so solo players won't be at the mercy of an LFG fireteam leader that's going to kick them for not clutching 1v3s every round -
Correction Bungie hates PvP

7 RepliesEdited by The Hermit IX: 2/6/2023 6:31:10 PMI played 40 matches solo this weekend in IB and the match making was fine.

1 ReplyIt's true. I have tons of screenshots proving no matter what you do in comp as a solo you can't progress. Have ones with 15 to 20.0 kds, doesn't matter, they will always give you no teammates or griefer teammates so bad they screw ya no matter what you do. They took a really good game and made it absolute trash. Ranking you on this garbage is some of the stupidest -blam!- on the market.
-
1 ReplyI played Iron Banner solo this weekend. I enjoyed it
-
If 7 was what they scored in iron banner, it may be because they were more focused on kills.

Bungie hates PvP players
-
3 RepliesLets be honest here The game isn't made to be played solo and never was shown to be
-
It’s easy when you in clan but when you don’t play with a clans an friends that’s when -blam!- goes sideways
-
2 Replies"lets make games that promote friendship" is bungies most recent motto. Its stupid, cheesy, and out of touch. Most of the playerbase are solo players and even if they are the minority... I thought bungie was all about not underserving minorities? the original motto "We make games we want to play." was better but perhaps it should be "We make games our customers love to play." and then focus on serving the people who pay for your existence instead of screwing us over constantly for your own visions that neither one of us want to engage with.
-
They hate new players too. Or returning players. I won't be convinced otherwise
-
2 RepliesCrucible has always been stacked fireteams Vs teams of randoms. Personally I love it that way. If you are a solo player you either get steam rolled or get lucky and put on a stacked team and steam roll the opponent. I hate evenly balanced matches. They are a huge waste of time. They take forever. Much faster Ranking Up to lose quickly than to win by the skin of your teeth.
-
Not to say it's right or wrong, but in all fairness to Bungie, Destiny is not a solo player game.
-
It's a flawed system where the numbers don't add up m8. Along with loads of blueberries, as you rightly say, who don't know their ar5e5 from their elbows. 1 person actually msgd me the other day and said 'kill more guardians to get more points m8 rather than running from zone to zone'. That's how bad it is. Oh btw, bungie hates most D2 players, not just solo queuers. It's why they treat us like this. We're all just pocket book fillers for them.
-
It's sbmm. If you stick out, harder opponents to nail you back down. Than easier opponents to balance the losses. It tends to keep you at around 50% unless you are top tier.
-
5 RepliesSo last night/ this morning I played 18 IB matches as a solo player. I lost four of those matches. So, I went 14-4. I was going to play today, but there is no way I can get the chainmail by reset.
-
It's true. They even sent an email to all the non-solo players with a bunch of rude jokes about solo players mothers too. Honestly a little rude, but super funny.
-
I punished myself during the first go around with 2 and some change resets for the armor and shader so I got to skip this time. Glad I did.
-
1 ReplyLooks like someone doesn't like Bungie's SBMM that forces you to have a 50% win rate by placing you on teams guaranteed to lose
-
Yeah it's been rough. I started Saturday night needing 6 wins to finish my IB Seal...as of Sunday night I still needed 4. Hoping I somehow get decent teammates to finish it off before reset today. Every match we get rolled, but sadly not enough to trigger mercy early enough so it just winds up being a 9-10 minute match where we are down 30 the entire time, lol.

4 RepliesEdited by Puma Kane: 2/6/2023 3:15:35 PMYeah, they seem to do solo player no favors, but at times, it seems rigged. Yesterday, I witnessed a Titan run ACROSS a control point, and it was a little more than a quarter, taken. In the same game at the 3 min. mark, my shots stopped registering, and suddenly, there were opponent power plays, left & right, due to opponents being spawned near control points. You can't do anything but laugh at that point.

2 RepliesHere's my theory... FTMM and SBMM only work on one side at a time. I always go in solo, and almost never get matched against a non FT setup. 'They' are almost always all from one, or mix of two clans, and my team is almost always random shuffling of players. On to 50/50 theory... Wins happen when one out of say 20 matches, both sides are random players. Losses are always against clan opponents. If a match is going good against a clan, lag hits... and that's when unloading a clip does no damage, I get one shot by a Staccato, or a shotgun from across the field around a corner before the enemy even gets there. So, in conclusion... It's BBMM... Bungie based match making where the only constant is the frustration we all feel going into PvP to see how fast we die by what weapon at how far by opponents that aren't there but are all on the same clan. Side note... I tried an experiment the other day... After every match I'd go to orbit instead of continuing to the next activity, and swap my weapons. I'd bring several with me before starting so I'd have them with me (companion apps been a lil off lately), swap them out after every match and adjust my mods accordingly, go back in for another round. It didn't solve the SB nor FT MM, but it did solve a lot of the lag and one shot problems. Don't get me wrong, I'd still get one shot, but at least it was realistic. Shotgun point blank to the head, or sniped, but it wasn't ghost bullets nor from around corners. Anyway, the matches were more even, and actually more fair. If we lost, it was due to skill issue/superior opponents. If we won, we didn't get a 10 game losing steak after. Anyway, the swapping of weapons seems to confuse Bungie enough to let us (me) actually play, and not be target practice in The Matrix lol

1 ReplyBungie hates solo winners so forces a win loss ratio on you.. Win a couple your next few games you have no chance 🤣
-
I believe that the skeleton crew that is left working on the game is either too overwhelmed to focus on PVP, or they are not competent enough to know how to correct the problem. Considering that the game seems to be coming apart at the seams lately, I am leaning towards the latter.
-
The only way to truly show that you’re a solo pvp player is by flexing your win rate. I’m sitting a bountiful 21% win rate.
