The game crashes frequently on Xbox series X. Returning you to the Xbox dashboard. No error codes at all. Please see if there is a fix for this as it is quite frustrating.
Thank you.

3 RepliesThis is probably not the reason but worth noting anyway. I have seen reports of Xbox overheating , might make sure your vent on the back is clear and nothing preventing venting of heat from the top.
-
Power it off and unplug it for 5 minutes.

If your series x is still under warranty i would recommend sending it in, i had a series x that constantly crashed with certain games ( thankfully d2 wasn't one ) i was out of warranty so had to buy a new one and haven't had issues since. I hope this isn't the case but worth looking into

Sounds more like an xbox issue than a destiny issue tbh.
-
1 Replyyeah I mean we haven’t gotten a word besides “known issue” about this. it’s going on a year now. mildly infuriating.

7 RepliesEdited by XenoGenic: 2/7/2023 1:45:23 AMI've had no issues on the Series X. Are you running it on the Internal SSD or an external Source? I do know if you're running a older External HDD with a few years under the belt, it can cause issues in terms of loading and stability. Alternatively, you can reinstall the game, chances are there are some corrupted files.

3 RepliesI’m pretty sure it’s something with quick resume. It’s a bit broken with online games so I noticed the game crashing whenever I restarted with quick resume instead of closing the app before I got off it.
-
1 ReplyI'm glad I'm not the only one who experiences this. I thought I was the only one. It crashes once every few hours, but when it does crash, it does it multiple times in a row.
-
1 ReplyI’ve encountered this as well and it says they’re investigating it but I doubt they even care.

The game crashes frequently on Xbox series X. Returning you to the Xbox dashboard. No error codes at all. Please see if there is a fix for this as it is quite frustrating. Thank you.
Only happens on the title screen for me. Rarely ever happens in the game.

1 ReplyProbably a Xbox issue
-
1 ReplyOdd, I don't have any issues on Series X. Could be settings being too high, try reducing your FoV and see what other settings you can shave down a bit. Try the Xbox Screen calibration tool in settings, you could be getting some kickback from your screen. Good luck.

5 RepliesThis bait m8 On series s an it runs like butter . Don't feel the troll

Working as intended 😍

11 RepliesEdited by LocoToopa: 2/6/2023 8:37:53 PMThis is why real men use PS5 instead of that children's toy Xbox. 👍 Edit. It seems my little Xbox child stalker is stalking me again via PMs. I guess he's too scared to post in public hehehe

Edited by I’m Vexy And I Know It: 2/7/2023 1:29:01 AMOr it just kicks you to the title screen in which I am greeted with “BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BAAAA BAAA DUH DAAAAAA”

1 ReplyHappens to me every now and then too

3 RepliesNot making light of your situation, but Bungle had a bug in D1 where head shot explosions that killed other enemies with FireFly weapons caused the game to completely freeze solid crash on both Xbox and PS4. It became so bad that when we ran Crota Raid, we checked everyone's weapon to make sure they did not have FireFly on and forced them to either turn it off, switch weapons or be removed. it took them 18+ months before they finally fixed it, which was nearly the end of D1. That just shows how little they care about player experience.

Same here on pc, usually crashes when i am taking a smoke. I get back and im on desktop again.
-
I think I’ve crashed out on my series x once in two years…
-
1 ReplyThis started when WQ was released and people have let Bungie know about it since it happens on all platforms but they continue to ignore it. You get the classic freeze, then u can move for a sec, and boom..dashboard For me, it usually happens toward the end of an encounter lol..happened during solo dungeon runs at the end so I've given up on it.
-
hopefully this gets fixed before i ever buy a xbox x or xbox s console to replace my old one i have.
-
13 RepliesI have a $10,000 PC and this game still crashes and freezes. They ain't going to fix it.
-
This has happened to me a couple times, but always when I am afk for a few minutes.
-
Yup, did it to me yesterday. I figured, whelp, time to stop playing.
-
1 ReplySame for me, not very often though, sometimes during the initial load in screen lol. When witch queen first laughed it also overheats Xbox triggering warnings followed by forced shut down. I had to buy an external fan for that.
