Anyone else losing brain cells trying to decipher IB's match scoreboard?
Kills, Deaths, Assists, Zone Caps, Zone Defenses, Damage, Overall Efficiency. It isn't rocket science Bungie...

Its kinda like Nightfall scoring, ever noticed you and your 2 team mates each have around 50k score each? Yet your team score is 90k? Some things score individually so the points are yours, some are shared with the team. So when you see you and your team mates scores are higher than you opponents yet you lost, its because you're seeing individual scores. The actual points you contributed individually to the team is less. Its a stupid system that causes confusion, tell you what try this: next match don't capture any zones at all, just concentrate on killing and staying alive. You might think you're doing really well murdering everyone but when you get to the end your score will be pitiful. Now try again but focus on zones and see the difference.

I think my friends and I solved it. You drink excessively and just play to make fun of your friends drunken mistakes. The score board is just a code for dumb moments. Having to make every cap while emoting is way more enjoyable

Capture and hold 2 zones. 5. Destroy the turrets before other team. 6. Hold drop zone the longest. 7. Capture and hold 2 zones. 8. Match ends and your team wins. Nothing hard to figure out. As for the scoring, clearly it needs to better explained. Edit: It will behoove you to run Void Titan (dome) and Witherhoard. Works everytime barring a total collapse of your rando teammates.

1 ReplyYou get the obvious for capturing zones. Then there's the +1,+2,+3 for destroying the turrets. And then the part that throws the scores completely out of whack is the +4 for each tick the central point is held. That's how losing teams sometimes have more points, they held the turret zone more but failed on controlling the zones the rest of the match. It doesn't make sense from a score perspective, winning team shouldn't have fewer points.

Kills, LOL. Deaths LOL Assists, LOL Zone Caps, ya sure you stay all the game within the zone LOL Zone Defenses, AHAHAHAHAHAHHA Damage AHAHAHAHAH LOL Overall Efficiency no one but you care about that. YOU lose a game, your on the bottom with no zone captured, please stay in pve. NO ZONES NO POINTS CLOWNS. This is not trial you can die if you think farming kd is good ahahahhahahaha LOL.

I want to know how we can have like 119 points at the end of a match but everyone on the team has 15 or less points on the scoreboard. The other team will win at 125 and have like 30-45 points each. Look, I just played to guild my title because RoI was the best expansion up until Forsaken, and SIVA is still the best story arc, so I wanted to be an Iron Lord. I can't be bothered trying to do Bungie math.

YES!!! Was so frustrated when our lowest player score was double the winning highest score.. The spread in game was close though. I believe it’s all about “the hunt” captured.
