I personally spend alot of time and resources farming high stat armor, only to have my exotic piece hold me back.

LMAO at the people voting no that like running lost sectors 50 times to get garbage rolls on exotics you don't want.

Target farming.

Edited by xbroggiex: 1/30/2023 4:48:22 AMShould add GM lost sectors that grant a cipher upon completion that can be used on an exotic to reroll its stats with your ghost mod in mind with a total stat between 66-70(if its lower than 66 then it would be upped to between 66 and 70). That or it allows you to pick a specific exotic at the end from the list of w/e the daily exotic armor type is when you complete a GM LS.

Edited by Illuminatis_fedl: 1/31/2023 12:17:28 PMThe 13% are like 😅👍 The 87 % are like 🤦♂️ Bungie seeing the 13% that enjoy this are like “yeah yeah everything looks good to me”

Grinding lost sectors was okay at first, but now I just don't even bother even if I want high stat gear because it's so boring and tedious. It'd be nice if we could apply like a ghost mod or something for GMs and trials to guarantee that any exotics that drop are whatever armor type we chose.

I personally spend alot of time and resources farming high stat armor, only to have my exotic piece hold me back.
There is nothing wrong with the we get the exotics. Lost sector's are so easy to do. I have had no issues getting all of them for all 3 guardians.
-
Lost Sector farming wouldn’t be bad if the drop % was better. There’s no reason why you can farm a lost sector within 3 minutes, only to get 1 exotic after an hour
-
2 RepliesI want to know who the 10% of players are who enjoy farming Lost Sectors
-
Bungie needs to make exotic armor "re-rollable" through the crafting table with exotic cyphers. At least it will give veterans with all world exotics unlocked something to do with them.
-
5 RepliesNo, if anything they should make it harder to get exotics. But I do believe they should make exotics have random rolls when pulling from collections once you unlock them.
-
Just put glass needles back in the game, done.
-
3 RepliesI think they should put 70 stat rolls in Eververse for Silver.
-
Maybe we should be able to craft armors too lol. Give a set of 70 points and allow players to spend their stats anywhere they want until they cap the 70.

2 RepliesYes. Here's my thing that I don't understand, during Year 4 when they first did the lost sectors for exotics stuff dropped pretty regularly. Most people that I play with would be in there farming and getting drops and after about 10-15 runs get what they were looking for and maybe something else along the way. This was about the same for me. Come year 5, that changed overnight and they just stopped dropping anything period. I like the lost sector format but I think this is another time to give Xur more functionality. Add focusing for exotics that you've already obtained. Not sure how exactly to balance cost and time investment to reward on this one and if it should be just umbral level focusing with some targetted stats or if it should be hey you only get one a week but its completely under your control and you can pick your stuff. Though I have a better much simpler solution. Bring back glass needles, have Xur sell them for an ascedant shard and some legedary shards with no cap on the amount you can buy for the week. So this way during a double nightfall loot week someone can go farm master nightfall and reroll their armor until they get what they're looking for while getting exotic drops in the process.

6 RepliesUntil they fix lobby balancing and crossplay, they should have literally no other objectives.
-
mm more targeted than lost sector with 4/5 exotic that have more % than others is fair to me, they should just increase the drop rate, especially from master
-
Gunna say no but vastly improve droprate solo and add it so you can run it with teammates at a lesser droprate
-
Do What Borderlands do and tie a few exotics to each boss. Probably lost sector bosses. Make them all legendary, all of the time. Then you can target farm. The drop rate would have to be quite low I imagine.
-
LS are still a good idea for obtaining the first piece that you don’t own, but they really have no reason being the only means of targeting rerolls. Much as some hate to admit it, D2 is better with improvements from D1 and Glass Needles were the way to go. The overall system would be better off having a way to either manually reroll or repurpose stats on gear you already have or to just double down on the crafting system and have it apply to Exotic armor for the stat spread. The major problem that we have at the moment is that the game is full of so many now redundant systems and materials that it has long been due for an overhaul. Hopefully, with the way things are looking for Lightfall we may eventually see some needed changes, but it’s hard to tell if Bungie’s just trying to make genuine improvements or if they’re just trying to maintain good pr and retain preorders and sales. Most companies nowadays seem to only concern themselves with making as much money as possible, forgoing quality of the product for the sake of selling it as quick as possible.

6 RepliesI love legend/master lost sectors for initially unlocking new exotics but I hate it for farming high stat rolls. They need to introduce another system to target farm specific pieces
-
1 ReplyIt would be nice if there was a system in place that favoured a certain armor piece on lost sectors if you’re wearing that piece. So say you want celestial nighthawk (or whatever) and it’s helmet day. You wear the piece of armor you want to farm for and that has a greatly weighted chance of that piece dropping over anything else.
-
12 RepliesI believe everything should have a direct path to obtaining it. The days of RNG are old, worn out, and need to be put to rest. That's a statement for the entire gaming industry, not just Destiny.
-
Edited by Lightbringer: 1/29/2023 10:25:30 PMRemove exotic armor altogether. Go back to the Halo days of it being only aesthetic. Take away all the abilities and weapon perks as well. Then people can quit b!tching about how easy the game is.
-
What if they did exotic armor crafting. It could start with base stats around 50, then by level it and feeding it resources you can increase the base stats up to 67. Then you can chose if you want it leaning into agility, recovery, or resilience as well as discipline, strength, or intelligence. It will then roll a random stat roll with atleast +10 in those 2 fields. Then to reroll you feed it an ascendant shard. Once you reached the max level at level 10, you can lock that roll and it becomes the new base armor, pullable from collections.

2 RepliesMaybe fix the smg overload problem on the 1610 lost sector.

Did a sector flawlessly a few times hoping I'd have good luck but no the normal sector gave me better chances 😐
