Bullets that doesn't register. Ppl that should be dead, but only dies second after you die yourself from a person shooting from your side.
But most of all, the fact that you activate your super, to counter another super, only to have you wiff all your super (doesn't matter what super) because you die midair, but the super you tried to encounter lives on and the game didn't register him shooting... it's a poopshow. To hell with SBMM if this is the quality we're presented with... 🖕

Still no response from Bungie about this issue in Crucible. This season it’s been the worst it’s ever been.
-
While i dislike SBMM and do not want to see it in Quickplay or Comp (which should matchmake you based on your rank, not by skill level), all of these things you mentioned have been a constant issue ever since crossplay was introduced, and an occasional issue before that thanks to the P2P-system and poor geolocation in matchmaking this franchise has had since day 1. The lag issues won’t go anywhere by removing SBMM, at least for me the primary reason is the crossplay lag between XBL and PSN, and even if they finally fix that somehow (which i doubt since they refuse to even acknowledge the issue after constant feedback), the matchmaking is still bad because it regularly creates multicontinent lobbies even when it supposedly has CBMM.

3 RepliesWe at Bungie are delighted to say that, we will do everything we possibly can, to make the Crucible one of the most horrible experiences for you to play. We already got your money buddy, we @ Bungie dont give a #@. Yours truly, or Up yours. Bungie.

6 RepliesYeah I feel were NEVER going to get stable connections between Playstation and Xbox. Any time I see a PS symbol in PvP, I know it's going to be lag city. They're always teleporting around, shooting thru walls, or just ignoring damage. It's rediculous.
-
2 RepliesNone of you MFs seen lag until you play Black Desert. The lag in this game is next to non existent. The servers need to be updated and dedicated but yall are exaggerating far too much.
-
72 RepliesOmg, when college kids play on garbage internet on a cross play game with no dedicated servers exist and the sheeple of D2 continue to blame SBMM like it's the problem. I think y'all just salty you're not farming new lights with your fake 6.0KD and daily We Rans anymore.

Yes. Not fun at all when playing at odd hours in platinum rating. Takes a few minutes some times to get a lobby then not being able to get a kill even when hosing them down with 5 burst from vigilance. I just leave games now. Don’t care if it’s back to back and I get a timeout. My sanity is worth more and I turn the game off and play something else. It’s all bungles fault. They’ve worked hard to kill their own game.

1 ReplyNo one at Bungie cares bro. As long as the pve group can do their 3 pinnacle games in peace, Bungie is happy.
-
1 ReplyAnother kid with poor connection and no clue how to fix it complaining ....
-
Getting shot through walls, around corners, etc. How about a melee taking out a super that really takes the cake. I feel like a bullet sponge but shooting opponents is like shooting a wall. We all feel the pain.

5 RepliesEdited by NegativeCycle: 1/29/2023 12:47:54 AMI got a secret for you......Bungie hasn't prioritized PvP in a very VERY long time. Over the course of 3 years we have been given a grand total of.....wait for it.......1 new PvP map. That's it, ONE not 2 not 3 but ONE. The best part? The map is pure garbage and they tried to force it down our throats by heavily weighting Disjunction. Bungie doesn't give a rats @$$ about PvP anymore. They are content to watch it fester and die.
-
5 RepliesI do see lag here and there, but not as horribly as other people do.
-
1 ReplyPvP lags because lack of player base. When at start of previous season loose SBMM was introduced, matchmaking was awesome and crucible was filled with players. But then, those who's k/d was artificial/boosted start to cry that they can't play anymore because they been squashed. On second week of previous season Bungie made matchmaking pool larger and that decision immediately destroyed matchmaking balance. Now PvP same trash as it was. That happen because those who tells everyone to git gud, can't git gud by themselves.
-
7 RepliesP2P Connection is the reason for the Lag. A Triple A studio who wont invest in dedicated servers. Cross Play made PvP worse. Trying to shoot a console player is impossible and their teammates all have delayed hit registration and teleport. I hate freelance but I wish there was freelance for QP now or we could op out of cross play.
-
Yeah pvp is trash. I deal with less lag and somehow find matches quicker on paladins Also the matches are more fair. Idk how destiny is pure trash with their pvp

5 RepliesEdited by Oinkthebaconking: 1/29/2023 3:48:57 AMYou know what's funny? This week the only thing that has sbmm is Comp. Quick play is not sbmm. It's just first come, first serve. The only 6v6 modes that actually have sbmm implemented as of this season are Control and possibly Iron Banner. And that isn't the Control in the QP roster... It's only the control that rotates in weekly. So I think it's HILARIOUS that you clueless peeps are just outing yourself. Not to mention comp has always had a form of sbmm.
-
I've been investigating the Crucible, and the thing that causes the most lag is SBMM. I wish that the guys who wanted and implemented SBMM came to their senses.

1 ReplyEdited by Manaan1138: 1/31/2023 9:51:43 AMThere is lag everywhere in Destiny 2: Crucible, Gambit, strikes, seasonal activities, raids... Destiny 2's poor network management and outdated server infrastructure have been a problem since the beginning. The thing is that CBMM didn't have good connections (or matches) then and SBMM doesn't provide good matches (or connections) now, so it seems that there is clearly nothing they can do about it until they seriously upgrade that part of the game.

5 RepliesSbmm and its consequences.
-
3 RepliesThe worst lag I've seen by far is in Iron banner...a completely connection based mode
-
23 RepliesEdited by WormChi: 1/29/2023 4:23:48 AMWelcome to the world of SBMM where the lower skill bracket that cried for the changes barely play and the actual PvP players who supported it were pushed out of PvP.
-
10 RepliesSBMM has absolutely nothing to do with it because everything you listed was happening with CBMM too. You're just looking for excuses to complain about SBMM.
-
My family and friends we play with cannot stand the change to sbmm now. Casual is nothing but sweats, might as well be competitive now. We experienced this in other games and eventually grew tired of it. We love the game and acknowledge the bugs and crazy issues. We will both get Lightfall soon as well. Please revert whatever you did to crucible casual play. Its not as fun anymore, we still enjoy it, but we went from. winning 50% of our matches regardless of mode to now winning 10% of the time and being complete outclassed and ran threw like a rag doll. We are just casual, all around players...its sad to see this change.
-
1 ReplyDon't blame SBMM that's not the problem.
-
2 RepliesYou can blame sbmm all you want, but the lag is present in pve as well. DOE, strikes and nightfalls, etc. all have noticeable lag. It's not obvious or bad like in pvp, cause of obvious reasons, but it is there.
