I can't play PVP for fun anymore
I've tried, really I have. I'll be the first to admit i'm not a good player in PVP, my reaction time and the time I have to play don't really allow me to "get good". I used to be able to hop into a couple matches of crucible and do moderately well. Occasionally with a good team I might be on the top of the leaderboards. However ever since the changes i'm arguably the WORST player on my team, its just not fun anymore, I get deleted almost as soon as I see a player.
I'll finish my ranked to get placed and do my 3 weeklys... but crucible just isn't fun anymore. I don't expect much support and people to tell me to get good here. But I just wanted to put this out there if Bungie happens to be looking. A long shot I know, but yeah, hope everyone else is doing well. I'll see you in PVE.

2 RepliesI just did one of the most amazing farts of my life. It lasted what seemed like about 30 seconds but in reality it was probably about 5 or 6 seconds. Still really long imo Feel like I've lost a stone in weight!

In other words, you dont have fun playing against players with near similar skills and want the old "chill" PvP where you could play against people with a .5 KD and are actually terrible at PvP.

2 RepliesOh so you are saying that SBMM aint it? It's literally SBMM that everyone apparently wanted which is ruining the experience in pvp. THere's no skill variety anymore which makes games so unenjoyable. Everyone is using the same meta cheese loadouts. If you still don't want to admit its SBMM, you are very likely a 0,000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 KD player.

I'm trying too. I also admit I'm not good in PvP either. Way out of my comfort zone, but I'm trying. But it seems like I get put against players way above my skill level. Looks like I'll never get pass Silver III with the way this matchmaking lobby is 🤣 But again, I'm trying. That counts right?

PvP hasn't been fun for a while now I'd say the last time I had fun in there was when peoples didn't camp as bad as they do now...so like 2 years ago?

It was what, two, three years ago that Bungo mentioned a 'renewed focus' on PvP? I'm sure it's coming soon lol. Right after more overpriced dresses, more recycled / reused / resold / lacklustre content, and likely many more baffling decisions, the occasional game breaking bug that only affects players so never gets fixed, another rollback or two, connection issues, and Telesto having more fun!

This. Jesus this. I used to play pvp every time i got on. Genuinely had a blast for a long time. Literally since D1. Lately I literally dread my 3 weekly matches. I’m okay at best, but used to have fun, now I just get stomped out at every occasion. PvP is no longer good for my health lmao

The connections are too bad at this point to be playable. That's really the biggest issue. Getting shot by a cross-platform player before they appear on your screen.

I'll run my games for my pinnacles. But that's about it. I can't even be bothered to play PvP enough to get another copy of the seasonal weapon. SBMM + P2P connections + ability spam. It that's what the masses want, then fine. It's just not for me.

I agree. I used to play it all the time when I first played Destiny three years ago because it was fun, even though it stressed me out a few times but I still had fun playing PVP and it used to be my favorite thing to play on this game. I haven't touched PVP for about 6 to 7 months now because it just isn't fun or really fair anymore and to be honest I don't think I will ever touch PVP at this point because it just isn't fun anymore. Trials however makes me feel horrible about myself and that gamemode took away all of my confidence in myself and I haven't touched Trials for about 2 years now and I missed out on loot and stuff. I just wish I could get flawless in Trials at least 1 time but it won't ever happen. I know I am not that good at PVP but man PVP these days just proved to me that I really suck at this game.

19 RepliesMost players are too afraid to have actual gunfights. You attack one player, another shows up to take their kill so they both can get the assisted kill. It is by far the most unskilled playstyle Trials has introduced to the game. There is a difference between showing up while your teammates are mid gunfight and helping versus teammates huddling up together to ensure their stats dont take a dive.

While I hate SBMM because of the lag I can live with it if it means that stupid AE doesn’t ruin the crucible. Now all they have to do is undo the nerf on the Stomp-335 and I would turn into a advocate for SBMM!

Haven't played PVP since D1... I tried, I did all the Exotic quest in D1 including Thorn, all 3 characters leveled every Iron Banner and in D2 I haven't played but maybe a dozen times..... just plain awful.

It can be rough these days if you are not running the one shot meta. The lag in games is something I have not ever seen and I have played a lot of PVP. The playerbase is once again religiously chasing the most broken builds. Quitters are back in full force leading to a lot of unbalanced matches and team balancing is still really awful. Fusion, shotty, sniper campers are everywhere. It makes for some pretty crap games. I run off meta stuff most of the time and play solo. I often go thru long stretches of really shet games. Yesterday I played 46 games of 6's and lost 65% of them, most in blowouts. Sometimes I will get a balanced fun match but it seems these matches are becoming much more rare these days.
