Bungo appreciate all that you do. You just had a hefty pay day from Sony. Please take some of that money invest in a new engine that can support Destiny in the long term with minimal bugs and also invest in dedicated servers this would make community extremly happy and show your dedication to the franchise.

1 ReplyGame is at the end of it's cycle. For the amount of time left in the game, a new engine and dedicated servers are too costly and more time in labor than the game has lifespan. Won't happen.

3 RepliesI commented on this six months ago. Tiger is end of life and half the problems of the game can be tracked to it directly. You know how after all this time we still can't apply color palates and have to use a Shader system? Tiger. Lack of customization? Tiger. Takes forever to fix anything? Tiger. Lack of content? Tiger. Keeps on rolling.

Edited by LocoToopa: 1/27/2023 4:04:25 AMI really love your tiger feet

1 Reply😔 i wish I was a great arm chair dev , man why don't you guys work at bungie, heck fire em all an replace it with All the crying peeps on here an reddit an Twitter an you could have a whole studio .

Please tell me which steamer had mentioned the need for a new engine. It can't be coincidence you all think the game needs a new engine on the same day as each other. Also, please educate me, what exactly is the engine? How does it work? How will "upgrading"it help the game? I'm very keen to learn from you.
-
You do realize all that "Sony money" goes to investors and not to the actual game, right?
-
They’ve flat out talked about his subject before. For reference, cods current engines are all upgraded versions of old ones from way back in the day. Think of it like an upgraded civic, not much on its own but with investment it can be fairly decent. And a counter would be halo 6, it’s own engine if I recall and it isn’t free of issues either
-
2 RepliesI wonder what the actual problem is.
-
2 RepliesSony never should have agreed to leave bungie in control.
-
1 ReplyGotta laugh at all these posts about “tiger engine” cause people watched a few moronic YouTuber videos as if they know what they’re talking about
-
6 RepliesWhat's that "hefty pay day"? Or are you another 6-grader that doesn't understand the concept of private money vs company money?
-
2 RepliesYou didn’t even know the name of the engine before you watched a YouTube video today ;)
-
Yet you have no standing proof as to if it really is the engines fault, or if you guys just spit out whatever your favorite youtuber does onto the forums. I'm so over arm-chair devs.

Bungo appreciate all that you do. You just had a hefty pay day from Sony. -
imagine asking to work at least 1 year ONLY on reworking the game , even if the game will get better is not really an option
-
Edited by JD: 1/26/2023 2:52:23 AMThey can’t make a new engine they said they would literally have to stop making content for the game for two year to be able to do that. You act like all that money was just transferred to Parsons bank account smh.
-
2 RepliesAnother “I watched streamer video on YT” post. If you’re that concerned stop playing and don’t buy lightfall.
-
4 RepliesNot happening. Won't happen. Stop asking.

1. Dedicated servers are not a instant fix people think they are. Games with dedicated servers still have problems like we had yesterday and people still lag in them. 2. It is not a quick job. It would take months maybe a year plus to alter the game to use dedicated servers and even longer to update something like the game engine.
-
Dedicated servers are too costly. They would charge us more money for everything to break even.
-
They are making other games rn. That's where the investements went. D2 is on life support and will be until it dies. It already lasted longer than they expected. They will drag its corpse as long as they can to milk as much money as they can from it, before they finally bury it.
-
3 RepliesThat's not how it works lol
-
I agree been saying this for years same issues every year enough all ready

Imagine selling your business & then spending the money on the business you just sold :p
