I want to do the Seraph mission on my warlock that I haven't touched all season but I can't be bothered to redo the whole boring questline that's pretty much the same season over season. Either make the quest one character only or make it progress on all 3 characters at the same time. This is ridiculous.

Did you ever play Diablo?
-
First off, this isn't the original Bungie. Second, most have known this for years now that they don't respect a players time, and they have shown it a lot more so after Activision dropped them. Third and last. Always remember this is a business first and foremost.
-
Kinda like picking up the seasonal artifact...every character has to run the first mision to use it but focusing the first engram each week for the red border is account specific. If every toon has to run the missions then i believe every toon should get the red border on their first focus each week. Just my opinion but we all know how that goes lol.

Bungie doesn’t respect our time? You remember these are the devs that got caught lying about and throttling xp right? We’ve known for ages they don’t respect our time.
-
No. You just play one character
-
This is the reason my other characters gather dust. There is no way for someone with a job, family, hobbys etc to stay up to date with all characters.
-
There should be an option to skip things on your alt characters. Some people want to play through things 3x, which is fine, but it's always annoyed me that with every expansion I have to play through the entire story 3x. I always end up with 1 character who I didn't bother to finish it with.
-
Why do you even wanna play more than one character??
it's not like they're different in any meaningful way
-
I'm taking a fat dump right now typing this. Respect that.
-
Agreed. Having to “unlock” the dreaming city or whatever the main story is that season on all 3 characters is a bad choice. All it does is create an artificial grind to inflate playtime numbers. Give us the option complete it on our alts. Or skip it, minus whatever loot drops from said activity. And then be fully progressed through so we can move on to what we really want to do.
-
"I randomly decided I want to run mid-season content on a character I haven't played this season and because I can't, it's proof Bungie doesn't respect my time." JFC. This post is ridiculous.
-
.... what?
-
Yeah, my warlock is definitely a different guy - then my hunter... I don't want that. Just play the game, or don't .
-
Edited by UncleObscene: 1/24/2023 11:07:33 AMI really dont mind it, because I play actual MMOs. But in Destiny's case since there are only 3 classes, they could have just one character and allow us to change classes, because races dont have any intrinsic race traits or any race specific storylines to seperate them organically in game anyways.
-
This is why I regularly suggest we need a "level select" feature similar to halo where we have a single playlist for the campaign that we are able to start from wherever we'd like that we've completed, it'd be checkpoint based still and allow players to revisit some favourite missions
-
I know it used to at some point b/t D1 and D/2 Launch. The Do not respect our time and they will not take piles of money from whales!
-
Every character has it's own thing. Your not just switching class your switching character. Yah either put in 3 times the work or yah stick to 1 character
-
Why are people doing the entire quest on more than one character? Lol...I didn't even unlock the heist -blam!- on 2 of them.
-
I quit bothering doing seasonal activities on 3 characters.. it's really not necessary IMO.
-
Dont think its so easy. My guess is they way they wrote code doesn't allow it to be shareable like that, probably would cause bugs.
-
People talking about optional I don’t even think bungie that smart to even make it like that.
-
I'd love to NOT have to run the story missions for all three characters. Having to do it three times does not respect the players time either.
-
If Bungie was to change and actually do that it would go against everything this business model stands for. Think on that. You know what this game is. You read these forums. It’s simply a time sink. It’s setup to provide maximum profit for minimum development utilizing FOMO to drive player retention. Grind the same stale core list activities over and over to level the season pass and artifact. Complete bounties for addt’l levelling and if you’re so inclined play the endgame activities. Rinse and repeat with a new coat of paint the next season.
-
I’m not playing after this season unless bungie announces MAJOR improvements. The grind is out of hand, rng is the worst it’s ever been, the seasonal model is complete shite, the playlists are complete shite, the connection has always been trash, I’m sick of grinding exotics with shite stats and I’m sick of bungie. Before anyone pops off and tells me this is a grinding rng game, I know that, I have thousands of hours in. It’s just worse than it’s ever been,

no one is forcing you to replay the campaign, it give nothing more, cry more.
-
You could have access within an hour. While I agree with your point, it's not even remotely out of reach if you wanted it....
