I am at a loss. The point gain and loss at higher ranks makes no sense. Please explain the point system and how it varies with different levels.
Also, The spark disappearing mid game is a huge problem. Fix the damn game please. Stop shipping it out full of bugs, especially if you are creating a “competitive” playlist. If the game mode is not functioning properly, get rid of it!!!! I don’t know how you let these bugs go through and expect people to play a fair game. This is so f’ing ridiculous.

Bungie’s Crucible team is the only group of people who could make a new PvP design for Competitive that is actually worse than the prior one. Not surprising given what has come out from the studio as of late. I can only hope that the visual and weapon design teams who handle how the game [i]looks[/i] manage to keep afloat in these trying times.

1 ReplyI’ll say one thing so everyone is ABSOLUTELY clear… It you want to legitimately reach max rank in competitive, you HAVE to play stacked. This is non negotiable. Freelance lobbies are by all terms “inconsistent.” You never know what ranked players you or your enemies are going to have. You or your enemies might have the odds stacked against them. If you are a higher rank then EVERYONE on the enemy team, I believe you’ll earn SIGNIFICANTLY les for winning (5 points…), meaning the higher rank you are, the less your going to earn, as it is more likely everyone else is a FAR lower rank. If you get handed a bad hand of players though, the %chance to win doesn’t mean a thing… your going to get a BIG hit to your competitive rating… Aka: To get consistent rep gains and max rank, you’ll have to swallow your pride and form a team and face other teams in the main playlist. Rep gains and losses are far more consistent.

1 ReplyI know what you mean. Im ascendent rank and the point system for wins and losses is impossible to track. My team will 5-0 the other team and I'll gain 5 points, yet well barely win and ill gain 150. I get that the way the system is currently constructed, you will gain or lose points based on the skill of your opponents compared to yours. But how is this fair to me? If I win a game, I shouldn't be at fault because we got matched against a team much worse than us. Not only will I have wasted my time on that match, but add in the 10-15 minutes we just waited finding that match means I just wasted 30 minutes. A ranked game mode should take into account the other teams rank and match you accordingly and that's it. Again, I shouldn't be put at fault because the game matchmaking algorithm screwed up and couldnt find a fair match.
