Seeing the New TWAB and the paragraph explaining how we will never see a blue engram once we hit power cap has to be the single biggest W in D2 in forever.
I can finally grind activities or patrols and not come back to a blue swamp in my postmasters as well as seeing my saved Prisms, Ascendant Alloys & Golf Balls be reduced to atoms because of them.
Hell, even the fact we get more gunsmith reputation from dismantling legendary & perhaps even exotic gear to make up for us mo longer having to soend 10 minutes hokding down the dismantle button will be the singlegreatest feeling when the patch finally drops.

While I applaud this move, and am happy for the change, let's not pretend that there still won't be "I lost my _______ in the postmaster because it got pushed out" posts.

1 ReplyYou guys will still lose items from Postmaster
-
It's about time. I don't understand why it took THIS LONG to implement.
-
Great news. Unfortunately my square button is already shot.

8 RepliesBlues weren't that big a deal, this is all just stupid + 'boys'? Women do play as well.
-
It took them literal YEARS

*insert Skipper meme here*

4 RepliesI agree that blue engrams are annoying but if all your slots are full so that blues inevitably to the PM, thats not Bungo's fault. I keep 3 slots free at least in all weapon and armour sections so that they don't cram up the PM and I just delete them in my slots when they start to fill up. That's called being organised. Though I agree it's still better not to have them at all after a certain point.

1 ReplyPaul Tassi deserves the credit.

1 ReplyI just hope they start increasing legendary drops (gear, shards, and/or other upgrade mats) then instead, because it's gonna get boring getting just glimmer from EVERY source now.

4 RepliesEdited by CAD1420Z: 1/24/2023 5:11:21 PMAnd in 3 months time the complaints about a lack of loot of any variety will be rampant. We did it boys! Edit: The last time they did anything about loot drop frequency, people were freaking out over how rare legendary items actually were. Then they made them drop like candy. Do you people not remember that? Also, you have to remember that us end-game players are the minority of the playerbase. Not everyone has the time or the luck to have multiple, let alone dozens, of legendary weapons and armor sets and exotics, or dug into the minutiae of buildcrafting for grandmaster nightfalls. So yes, there are going to be complaints about lack of loot from someone somewhere.

Wrong! They did it. They make the game, and everyone else is just a hamster running their sandbox hamster wheel. You didn’t do anything. Check your arms and legs. They have strings. You just don’t see it. There’s a puppet here and somebody is pulling the strings. Guess which one are you? Welcome to the Matrix. The hamster wheel Matrix! Hahahahahahaha! I got out. There is no spoon! Hahahahahahaha!

2 RepliesIf you're having nightmares about blues dropping, you must have a very easy life.

2 RepliesIs the power cap where your only hunting pinnacle gear? Is that when the blue engrams will go away?
-
Sweet. Only 6 years.
-
My problem with no more blues is I use blues to get weapons to the soft cap. Purples don't drop often enough for me to use as infusion and legendary shards.
-
1 ReplyIt's nice step, but it took 6+ years before they finally listened. My one concern (because Bungle always takes more back than they give) was would we get the materials we get for deleting them? The TWAB says we get the glimmer, but do not get the XP from the Gunsmith for them. I'm not sure the 25% increase will compensate for the sheer number of blues we received. It also raises the question why they didn't just auto give use the XP with the Glimmer and leave it at that? Does this become a Stealth Nerf for people that play a lot and get a lot of Blues?

34 RepliesOnly took them 8 years.......

1 ReplyMeh. I mean this really does nothing to get excited over honestly. Kinda pointless if you ask me.
-
About 4 years too late.

1 ReplyEdited by Guardian, Archon Of Light: 1/21/2023 2:08:17 AMOverabundance of Umbrals and Primes is a problem though, I have had the postmaster full of them after a few dungeon runs

23 RepliesYou guys don’t get it. Bungie brings the game to such a low, and then trots out a content creator to ceaselessly complain about an baseline, easy to implement QOL feature and you eat it up like it’s some sort of victory… Meanwhile, a laundry list of fixes go unaddressed, much less fixed. With a community like this, who could blame Bungie for exploiting us in mass? They are laughing at us. Big win.
-
Easily pleased eh , A big wow would be a useable game
-
Wondering how long until someone loses stuff from their postmaster because they got too many purple drops. But maybe then we can start looking into a better QoL fix
-
Ladies and gentlemen, we got 'em.

only thing I must say…WOOO! 👏
