Call for Feedback from Destiny 2 Team
Hey Guardians,
We've just created a new account here to enable us to post here on the forums more. We will be talking about this Destiny 2 Team account and others on 3rd party platforms in the TWAB shortly.
For our inaugural post we wanted to create a thread to gather up some of your top priorities for changes you want to see in the game. Comment below with your feedback. Share whatever you like, just keep it civil and concise so we can read through as many as possible.

Do one thing and one thing only, get your hole team to focus on broken servers then move on to the next thing. That is how you will fix destiny before lightfall comes out. Hearing alot of people are not going to buy light fall because of your lack of fixing the most basic of things. There is no point in doing buff this and change that if people can't get reliable service/collection. Then change game modes that people are asking for. Buffing thing should be on the bottom of the list, as there is no point if no one is playing anymore. Or even better do a poll on what things are more important than others. Customers are the only reason you have a job/business lose them and well you might as well close the doors now while your ahead. You have to go back to the basics. 7 RepliesLower costs for the new seasons legacy focusing….7 engrams for banner and trials is absurd…you aren’t even guaranteed a high stat roll…but let’s be honest most people will be doing it for the transmog..but that’s 2 and a half resets (if you’re lucky and don’t burn out first) for an armour set…armour should be 1 and weapons should be 2/3….give players an actual inventive to play these modes without silly costs which will just put people off.

Freelance playlist for Trials please. This game is getting old and new players won't stick around if it feels like the pvp modes are dominated by established pvp groups which are most likely using mouse and keyboard. Everyone paid the same for this game, so it should be fair for everyone who wants to play. So give the players a choice of options to play, such as freelance or normal mode in pvp. Because even if new players do their best to work through sbmm, it's not always accurate. If there aren't enough players for pvp then make fewer playlists, but keep freelance. Playing videogames shouldn't make players feel like they need friends who are good at pvp. Sure they can make friends from lfg, but not everyone is that social. The game should be enjoyable enough even when playing solo. It might be hard for Bungie creators and community managers to understand because they have actual irl friends to play together, but keep in mind that some people don't have irl friends to play D2 with, or they simply don't like to chat or interact with people they don't know. Sure, the game allows players to block, etc, but still, online games should consider all kind of situations very sensitively. There needs to be a balance for solo players and social players. Because if solo queue players can't achieve what they want by themselves and then get called "trash" by more experienced established groups, why would they want to keep playing the game? Also balancing between the existing community and new players is not easy. There is no 100% answer but "fairness" is key for pvp play. Pro sports players in other sports pit amateurs vs other amateurs, heavyweight vs heavyweight, feather vs feather and so on. QP is now good matchmaking though. Please link pvp maps and season's themes, like if moon is the stage of the season, bring all moon maps for pvp etc. I love Bungie pvp since Halo3. I'm looking forward to playing Lightfall. 🙂

Since matchmaking is pretty bad in freelance comp, a lot of matches you’re handed losses not based on your ability but on the fact that the best players are stacked on one team. Skill based matchmaking should be a thing in ALL PVP.

Reroll masterworks on weapons, not sure how this was removed. Fix input device imbalances snipers, dmt, last word, crimson, smgs and so on. Put some effort into a level playing field. Add actual rewards to pvp. Why are trials weapon shaders not obtained when dismantling? Why does comp have no rewards at all. Add kiosk for past shaders/armor sets. The fomo is ridiculous in this regard. You can't even get a simple white shader cuz it's hidden behind fomo even though one of the trials of the nine shaders was handed out to everyone. Fix card resetting. Put these clowns in a permanent flawless pool n call it a day.

Server instability - the game has increased with “contacting Destiny 2 servers” being error coded out of games / matches, slow loading times into the tower etc. As stated it’s just become worse as every season is introduced. Can you please make this a priority as this will assist in player satisfaction for overall smooth uninterrupted gameplay, as it should be 😊

And this is not because my PC is slow - I have about 200 fps at Tower. Convert Coldheart to stasis tracerifle (not arc) Add RTX and DLSS3 to the game. (I know you are not have knowledge to implement this, but you can hire team of professionals) [b]Add more servers[/b]. All storyline movies should not have 30 fps limit. Add matchmaking for non-legend dungeons. Remove cap from seasonal and crafting resources.

Bungie, we appreciate the legacy focusing thing, it was a good idea. But unfortunately there's one huge flaw to it, it's the fact you can't get ALL of the weapons from trials iron banner and nightfall, that is not acceptable at all, if you want legacy focusing to be successful then you gotta get ALL of the weapons (that are not sunset of course) I have an idea to fix that: make a legacy loot pool that does a weekly rotation specific to nightfall and trials weapons every reset the weapons will get swapped out. If you missed it well your outta luck until it comes back in a week or 2. As for the iron banner weapons I would do the same thing but for when iron banner comes back 3 times per season. Please make this happen Bungie, we want all the weapons not a handful 🙏💯

3 RepliesMore love for PVP. New pvp maps, bring back all the old maps, new modes that stick around. Clash and rumble needs to be separate and available at all times. If you have new modes make a rotating crucible labs Playlist. Bring back pinnacle weapons with unique perks. True rank rewards for comp. Make each tier award something worth showing off, like new and desirable unique pvp emblems, ghosts, ships, guns, exotics etc... Trials is always going to be sweaty. Add skill based matchmaking to trials and comp. Leave quick play who it used to be with CBMM. Dedicated servers Better Melee hit detection/registration. All D1 maps should be brought back. Show the pvp community they are just as important as the pve community and the game will thrive Even more.

Remove rift from comp. Improve freelance comp matchmaking to balance teams fairly. Give warlocks a one hit kill melee to equal throwing knives and shoulder charge.

For season 20. nightfall weapon focusing. If had acquired hung jury in a previous season but deleted it. Would I still have to reacquire the hung jury to unlock focusing for it in s20? Does it process that it’s in my collections or will I have to get a new one?

You can fix this by using the movement exotic but you're penalized by not being accurate in the air? Sacrificing resil in pvp running the lowest hp, Sacrificing recov in pve healing slower. Only character with a negative ae exotic. Let's make build crafting fair and place all 3 characters class cooldown in the same stat area.

Please get rid of the catalyst grind. For example, I grabbed Symmetry from the monument in the tower. .. then I stared in disbelief when the game said I had to do 400 playlist activities just to get the catalyst. 400 playlist activities just to get the catalyst? THEN I have to get 700 kills with the weapon to complete the catalyst? On a serious note I have to ask who in their right (or wrong) mind thinks that making players grind activities like this would be fun? Also, I was severely burned by PVP when I started playing, I hate that mode and do not play it. As a result, I have very few of the Beyond Light exotic weapon catalysts. Almost every single seasonal exotic weapon from 2021 requires 50 guardian kills to unlock their catalyst. Instead of requiring only guardian kills how about making it 50 guardian OR champion kills? Give the people who do not like PVP a chance to obtain them? Better yet, how about removing the grind to obtain the catalyst altogether? I can see a quest to obtain it, like go here and obtain this part but grinding 400 activities is just asinine.

Sure plenty has been said about gameplay, so my feedback is on communication. Please put any information that goes out on the Bungie Help account about patches, updates, exotics being disabled/removed, etc. onto these forums as well. And I do mean the information, not just a link to the twitter account. It would be useful, especially for guardians such as myself who do not use Twitter (for whatever reason), especially when it comes to events like the recent roll back. Don't have to make the posts so that people can comment, just have a pinned comment with the latest updates, so it's easily accessible for all forum users.
