Volatile rounds feel significantly worse on all weapons after recent hotfix.

1 second per activation is way too long and gyrfalcons feels like -blam!- as you don’t regain invis 8/10 times. Please shorten the volatile cooldown.

  • it's about a single second ... the only thing this Fixed did, (I can't call it a nerf) is to adjust that LMG ... I'm only a hunter player, and it seemed ridiculous what that LMG could do with Volatile ... . But the game style remained the same, always invisible, volatile clear good. it still remains a very good build for day one raid

    Had to figure something was coming with how broken the retrofit escapade was with volatile rounds. BTW you can blame content creators for this change for how many videos they put forth showing off the retrofit and how broken its DPS was prior to the change.

    • They need to up the volatile explosion to every 0.5 seconds. Having it proc every 1.0 seconds killed the weapon it puts it back down to the bottom of the pack for heavy weapon DPS. It definitely needed a rework but not this much.

        It’s literally one damn second. God forbid you can’t use volatile for a whole second Anyone who’s complaining about this just shows y’all used the exotic and LMG as a crutch. I just did all 6 GMs and used gyrfalcons on 4 of them. Didn’t notice the nerf at all.

            • Yeah I noticed immediately after playing. You just have to adjust now knowing ok the rounds are not nearly instantly going to proc like before, but it can be inconsistent.

                • It needed a nerf anyway. I’ve been demolishing everything with volatile rounds since the season it came out. It’s so easy to maintain it’s up time and it got easy for hunters.

                    • There were so many sources of invis. Smoke bomb, gamblers dodge and finishers. After abusing volatile rounds in gambit, I can assure I had my volatile rounds were up all the time. I see why they got nerfed for the sake of Gambit.

                        The fix reduced the rate volatile procs on a single target under sustained fire, i.e. when shooting a high health enemy, meaning volatile still works exactly the same when used for add clear on lower health enemies. The internal cool down doesn’t keep you from spreading volatile amongst multiple targets in quick succession. Yeah retrofit was fun but it wasn’t working as intended and was literally breaking encounters and volatile/gyrefalcon is still a strong option for easy add clear and survival through invis, there’s still plenty of good dps options to use along side it

                          If hunters get something fun, it just gets nerfed. Just switch to the never nerf titans. It's much better over there.

                            The only thing that changed is that now it doesn't destroy raid encounters/bosses... Still a valid and one of the strongest builds in the game for all activities and you can be perma invis(and always proc volatile)like before.

                              I was never a fan of them. They’re ok but not game changing. Everyone knew they were bugged after a crafted legendary LMG was putting out ridiculously high DPS. So they fixed the bug and it’s exactly why I didn’t waste crafting materials to use it for one hot minute.
