Artifact Mod Progression Broken [EDIT: VISUAL ONLY, XP MAY STILL COUNT TOWARD ARTIFACT]
After the patch today, the seasonal artifact was reset. Unfortunately, progress towards unlocking the next artifact mod appears to be broken. Instead of the XP tracker, the bar says "0/1". Earning XP and completing activities does not modify this value, which makes progression impossible.
Additionally, there is no option to reset the artifact as "artifact unlock" is perpetually 0/1.
EDIT: This 0/1 bug appears to be visual. I just got an artifact unlock after completing a few seasonal challenges. It worked as expected, even giving me the correct triumph.

It seems as though it may be a visual issue for some, but in my case I had all 25 artifacts unlocked. Prior to the previous reset I was playing with my Hunter. It still has all unlocks and everything works. However, I play with a Titan & Warlock also and they both have the same following issues: The artifact first row is lit up a dull blue. The other 20 are dark gray and artifact cannot be reset. When I go into either's inventory and hoover over a armor item that has artifacts inserted, they show up a dull blue and the description is dark. Along with this the artifacts below are no longer available to equip or switch. They simply aren't there. Other armor pieces not equipped are exactly the same. No artifact mod available for equipping. So, in my case it's not just a visual thing. I simply have two guardians that can't actually be used for a lot of game play.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad its only a visual bug. I just noticed it tonight and was worried.

Happened to me too! PS5 - artifact has 0/1 progressions bar, but still need 2 more unlocks

I guess if I reach rank 148 and the next mod has popped then it is a visual bug (currently at 144 so fingers crossed).

Bungie, atleast go back to previous update till issue is fixed and TESTED! According to a few youtube videos i saw before this issue concerning issue where the Seraph Cipher Mods Triumph was not progressing (triumph for unlocking all Cipher Mods), apparently could be fixed by resseting the artifact and re applying all the mods again in the cipher and my guess is that Bungies hotfix did something similair but also broke something with progression at the same time, instead ruining it fo us that have not unlocked all mods yet. I rather solve it my selfe watching a youtube video and just resetting mods and selecting them all again (in video the triumph flashed om bottom of screen as this was being done), than have a broken fix like this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_Ns-8NxSRY&ab_channel=AboutBeverages How does this keep happening? How to fix the Seraph Cipher Mods Triumph in Destiny2. Let me just say this so people dont get there hopes up because of the link. "Video was before this last hotfix :p." Also broken for me as well, had to unlock 24/25 on 3 characters again and I'm also stuck at 0/1 on progression. Great job Bungie, you made it worse as I had zero issues until this "fix". Was only a few thousands points away from finishing my last unlock as well. At this point you may as well just unlock it globally for everyone.

Edited by Candurin: 1/18/2023 10:41:02 PMI’m having the same issue as well. Not earning XP. Sitting at 24/25 unlocked and the XP meter only says “next unlock 0/1” with no XP values. This was after my artifact was reset and I had to reapply the 24 unlocks I already had.

Seraph Cipher reset to zero mods! Mods in use are dimmer.
