For wasting my time. Load up legend seraph shield once again.. I get to the captain that drops a code.. he doesn't drop it. I can't progress. I kill myself but it doesn't matter because it's not a "no respawn" zone. What's my option? Go to orbit, accept that my time was wasted because simple checkpoints do not exist in a 30+ min mission.

4 RepliesBungie wasting our valuable time. If i got a penny for every situation in D2 that i or others have brought that up, you know, i would definitely have a whole lot of pennies by now. It's nuts how these junior devs don't think about the tiniest quality of life necessities that should be common sense.

8 RepliesIn my opinion, this is the worst exotic mission Bungie has released. It’s overly long , never changes week to week and no checkpoints. 10/10 bad. Also those stupid brigs have waaaaay too much health

32 RepliesWhy are people blaming the OP for the game being broken? There's a complete mission in less than 30 minutes triumph, it should be expected that people will run this as fast as possible by Bungie. And come on, just because it doesn't happen often to you doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Bungie just doesn't playtest and it shows. But for some crazy reason, the response from a lot of people is to blame the guy who gets his time wasted. Is gaslighting the new norm around here?

7 RepliesI enjoy calling this game a joke every chance I get but this post is silly. I’ve run it and completed it under 30 mins several time on legendary and normal. On different characters and subclasses. Still haven’t encounter this issue. What’s next? Asking for check points for strikes?

Here's what triggers the bug for me EVERY time. It's when you get the scanner and then proceed to kill the little flying bots. If you kill them all (in order or not), and get the message in the bottom corner that the door in the warsat room is unlocked, the issue with the captain not dropping the key will occur. You will know well ahead of time because the first knights and shriekers are missing in the room with the operator buttons you have to shoot through the vent shafts. It's like the game misses a few loops in the code. If you avoid the little bots you will never have the issue, but also can't open the hidden chest at the end.

2 RepliesThe fix for this issue has been discussed since day one of the mission. If you can not adapt or are waiting for Bungie to fix it your inability to complete the mission is on you. In stead of using the forum for -blam!- use it as a resource to elevate your game play experience.

Don't worry, if a player discovers a beneficial bug. They will patch that right away. But bugs like this that effect a week to week repetitive mission that actually influences the players experience? Nah, they will wait to the "final weeks" to finish the story and fix antiplayer bugs.

Completely agree. The Captain bug is just one of many in that run. In a room nearby sometimes the switch doesn't activate when shot. In the 1st turret room, sometimes the captain doesn't drop the item. The mid-way boss, the 3 mechanicals before the surrender can reset after you have completed it and then you have to do it again. The secret switches often don't show to GFX bug (assumed). Those are the ones I have regularly experienced, off the top of my head. The fact we have to do such a buggy and broken run so often is irritating, and its duration makes it worst. I read people talking about swords etc, I don't use a sword but even if I did it doesn't justify the fact the programming on this game is becoming more and more unstable and unprofessional.

It was really buggy the week before last. Had a operators and it wouldn’t get rid of it when I tried. Even died to respawn and it still wouldn’t open the door. Had to start over and it was ok. Last week was no issues did it in a breeze. This week super bugged. Ads spawning right from thin air the second I shoot them. The first big room with boss and 3 mechs and at one point probably at least 100 ads all shooting throwing nades non stop and about 20-30 invisible ads attacking with swords. Didn’t matter how many I killed instantly right back. Had to die about 10 times before it stopped and I got through it. Last week a witherhoard, made and super took care of the 1st pages of the boss. This week it took about 10 witherhoard shots, 4 nades, my super and about 15 clips from my scout. I mean it was at least twice as difficult and took twice the amount of damage. It’s ridiculous how unstable and buggy that mission is.

Don’t kill the ads and captain too quickly, especially the captain. Otherwise he won’t drop the key. I figured that out the hard way.

Move slower. When you are efficient in gameplay the ads don't spawn
