It just makes no sense that titans can be the tankiest, the fastest and have the hardest hitting abilities all whilst the other 2 classes have been nerfed into oblivion. Warlocks have become an obscure outlier when or if they’re seen and the argument ‘hunters make up X% of all flawless teams’ and ‘the top X% of players are hunters’ is irrelevant given those players can flatten 99% of the playerbase with any weapon on any class.
Any titan worth their weight in crucible is running between 80 and 100 resilience. Whilst warlock and hunter have to forgo other stats in order to stack whats become the absolutely most overtuned stat. lets recap, resilience gives increased HP (which can alter both optimal and non optimal standard TTKs), reduced flinch, reduces stasis free break free time, reduces stasis freeze damage. What does mobility do again?
Dunemarchers combined with balistic slam are an easier longer range shatterdive.
Peregrine greaves undoes the point of having no one hit abilities other than a weighted throwing knife to the head something that’s difficult isn’t comparable to simply hitting a shoulder charge.
Citans rampart have made hard camping lanes effortless since their inception, being able to peak and camp with virtually no counter is just a joke whilst having the same cooldown as normal barricade.
Before arc 3.0 one of the most complained about exotics was ophidian aspects, the exact same problem of longer than shotgun 1HK range teleport melees are the same on synthoceps, except these aren’t even needed since all a titan needs to do is break a shield to gain this melee lunge range inbuilt in to the arc subclass.
Anteus wards combined with juggernaut is just an absurd combination, letting someone freely ape with a shotty with virtually no front on counter, and of course being the fastest class in the game it’s not as though anyone else can outrun it, or jump in to the air for easy loss thanks to AE changes.
Shoulder charge is the best movement tool in the game with nothing coming close, no cooldown on such a strong ability makes 0 sense. A titan running 10 mobility and no movement exotic can easily outpace a 100 mobility hunter running stompees, with a combination of skating and shoulder charge spam.
You cannot beat void titan overshield at long range, you cannot beat an arc titan with their shoulder charge and inbuilt ophidian aspects melee at close range and refresh on melee kill, titans have the ability to proc amplified far too easily, how many hunters or warlocks are seen with the amplified speed boost comparatively to titans?
The zone control the class offers is obscene, zone control trials and this seasons iron banner mode just show how they cannot be challenged on a point. It’s shoulder charge spam to the zone, being easily the first one there, throw down barricade and lob storm grenades when anyone else gets close.
It’s almost comical how long storm grenades last, being able to almost put you to 1 hit from just the initial double impact then follow you around for a good 10+ seconds whilst doing no damage to the caster.
Bubble is the fastest cooldown super in the game, it has literally no consistent counters other than… other titans. No throwing on witherhoard in the middle of a round is not a ‘viable option’…
Thundercrash is virtually a roaming super the way it flies, it’s so easily controlled that you can collect 1 or 2 other people before finally crashing. it has no business being as tanky as it is for how easy the in air control is and how fast it travels.
All anyone who doesn’t main titan can hope for a some heavy changes and nerfs with the mid season patch, this is far worse than the stasis launch, at least at that point every class had it’s easy cheese whilst this patch so far is just titans running rampant. For everyone who jumps in with the ‘just get good’ responses, please refer back to your omni, gyrfalcons, shatterdive and invis nerf spam posts from the previous seasons and practice what you preach.

Let bubble and storm grenades be broken for over a year, then we would approach Hunter levels of Bungie bias -
1 ReplyStopped reading after ‘no consistent counter to Titan bubbles’ , I think you’re forgetting other classes supers, you shouldn’t be mad that a super requires a super to counter haha

Ayyye I vs you a lot ya nerd take off that wormcrutch ;)

The funny thing about all of this is that all of these exotics have been around for years. But yet I haven’t seen so much complaining about bubble and Citians since ever. I guess last ib really hurt a lot of y’all feelings it’s okay now little squishy warlocks and engineer bunny hunters citians is getting nerf. Plus coming next sandbox change I guarantee people will start complaining about stompees again because of the slide shot and in air accuracy. Any ways it was fun using citians back to Antaeus wards.

3 RepliesLmao you can tell all the trash players out here “Says the hunter main” 😂😂😂 Hell I WAS a hunter main TILL this season. I’ll stick to my easy mode Citan’s rampants and Storm grenades… apparently it ain’t broken 🤷♂️

Whoa! Too much sense! Reel it in, logic to tittians is like meat for vegans. They'll have nothing to do with that good sir! You'll need lots of this tho 🧻🧻🧻, for the underwhelming yet quite expected whinefest incoming.

Funny all the whiny Titans who got Hunters nerfed like crazy are now saying leave the OP class alone … Hypocrisy is alive and well

With all of these people agreeing I'm surprised this thread had no upvotes... But I did bc titans need to be reigned in severely. Another thing that needs to be brought down a peg or two is the teleporting arc warlock melee. The staggering amount of iframes it gets along with the insane tracking has to go. I played against quite a few yesterday and even though I knew it was coming and prepared for it, (shotgun out, preaimed) shots with go right through said warlock hitting the wall behind them and I get one shot by a melee and he's full health, bagging like he did something spectacular. Bungie needs to learn the basics in pvp gaming, if you make anything, there needs to be a counter to it. Just like the maps, there shouldn't be one particular spot on any map where it gives a significant advantage.

I agree with everything but bubble. There is plenty to counter it but usually not safe options other than novabomb. Definitely have to weigh in risk and reward. But surprised to not see titan diving dunemarchers exclaimed here. Legit an ez team wipe. And if the person has done it long enough, the gun handling affect legit does nothing. So if u miraculously "missed one". Clean up is ez for u and your team. (Dead messenger or a aoe nade *,cough storm* and that team wipe)

I never feel powerful in the crucible, and I main titan. Then again, I always considered myself absolutely terrible at pvp in this game, so… yea… Just one reason I’ll never even attempt trials of Osiris.
-
Main hunter zzzzzz
-
I mean this is what everyone wanted. No jumping or sliding just bot walking and sheilds.
-
Gotta be patient, all valid points. Bungie always shifts up everything going into major expansions. This one will most likely be the biggest set of changes D2 has ever had 🤷🏻♂️
-
You summed up the problems very well… they need multiple nerfs the worst is the mobility spam for me
-
This is the best explanation of the Titan problem that's ever been put on this site.
-
Kinda forgot to add that titans got a hundred different ways to get an overshield.
-
As a warlock main I only play trials on arc titan nowadays, so free, you don't even need a proper build like a stasis hunter. I think it's all going to be nerfed in Lightfall just for sales purposes. Strand is going to be like stasis in pvp, necessary to use
-
Thunder crash should only be able to move left and right and down.. so basically how high you jump and then activate thunder crash you cannot move up again.. like d1
-
1 ReplyWell, both [armory]Citan[/armory]'s and Storm Grenades are nerfed into oblivion, so you don't need to feel that disgusted towards Titans anymore.

8 RepliesEdited by A Traffic Cone: 1/17/2023 6:19:43 PMAs usual if it's not advocating for a nerf to Hunters is just "adapt and stop complaing" If people could look left and right without using radar, invis wouldn't be a problem. And that's kinda the only thing they've got in Crucible right now. PvE is a different story. EDIT: yeah I play Hunter. Because I can't for the life of me put up with Titan jump. Just can't. Barricades need a cooldown nerf or popping a new one gets rid of the old one. Citans should increase barricade cooldown when equipped like Renewals do for Duskfields. Other than that I see no real problem.

Wrong, warlocks are "opper" than pathetic titans, downvote this to hell.
-
Lots of good build ideas to work off of here. Thanks OP. ;)

Titans are the best in pvp right now though to be honest it's fine with me especially since for years hunter was the way to go I main warlock and I do think they are underwhelming in pvp but are strong in pve so it's at least a tradeoff and not a complete shafting though I would be happy if they tuned them to be a bit stronger, would be nice to lay rift down faster for example because at the moment if you try to use it and someone happens to find you right when you start the animation you are going to be dead before it finishes so you just get stuck in animation watching yourself die.
