Red border drop rate please tell me that was mentioned on reddit
Countless runs countless engrams used to get no red borders bungie this does not feel rewarding for my time an effort atall and I'm only focusing on ikelos weapons let alone the rest of the weapons I want to craft

It's pretty bad. I play quite a bit. I have been trying to get the Ikelos smg, focusing engrams any chance I get. I just got it done this weekend. Then I want a PvE one and a PvP one. Also some other weapons with enhanced perks. But now I won't have enough resonant elements. So I finally get the red bordered pattern, but now I need more red border weapons to get the elements. This system sucks, period. I get that they want time investment, and there has to be an RnG element, it's just too much. They should do weapon XP weekends like COD. Materials are easier to get, weapons level faster. There are easy ways to make this more fun.

It's funny how red drops were guaranteed on deep stone crypt with their drop rate Until they were made craftable then they purposely nerfed it to the ground because they don't actually want people to play their game or have fun

The Reddit survey will barely matter. Thanks to this dumb "Train Station" line of thinking, it takes Bungie a while to implement any game changing updates. Look at the feedback surrounding the Seasonal Model. It's one of the biggest topics right now about how boring and formulaic it's become, and yet Bungie said we won't see any significant changes until the second Season after Lightfall. Since we don't know what's happening after The Final Shape, some of these suggestions probably won't even make it into the game. It's too little too late.

I'd say the only red borders that need an increase drop rate would be raid red borders. Seasonal ones are easy aquire due the frequency you'll be doing seasonal content but raid ones are a bit harder to come by unless your in a clan our have friends who are up to doing raids frequently.

Can’t say the same, I’ve only really done the minimum content for quests/season challenges and I’m only missing 4 crafted weapons, just 10 pattern progress missing

3 RepliesOnly a few weapons are worth it, and by now if you spent all your stems / energy on focusing exactly the weapon you want, which could be the Ikelos SMG for example then you should have it crafted by now. I play only casually and I've got every weapon unlocked except the solar glaive which I'm 4/5 on. It literally rains red borders, getting all the singing warmind nodes also gives alot of red borders, guaranteed ones in the exotic mission. You by now have red border focusing unlocked at the HELM, guaranteed red borders on first chest opening and many more things. If you've been doing Heists casually you've also gotten red borders. Countless runs? Seriously dude? I'm not even trying and I can't even be arsed to craft all these weapons. Play the game smarter instead of praying for Heist drops. Using the 4 stem umbral focus also gives plenty red borders if you come in with 8 umbrals 32 stems at a time. It's much easier getting all rolls than with the Derelict Leviathan, and that's coming from a casual. I did play 100+ hours during dawning etc. But I am doubting you did countless runs. You're full of it.

You only get a chance at some red borders from resonant stems, which are not repeatable, and then you can only make progress by buying them. Also bad to make it 5 for DSC. Old content and only one guaranteed red border per week. And the chance of getting random red borders is absurdly low. Do they really expect people to spend 30 weeks grinding these? Or dozens of hours grinding a CP when DSC is the featured raid? Ikelos and DSC weapons should have been 3 each.

2 RepliesI don't think it was. On average, it would take you longer for a God roll to drop than to craft any weapon though so there's that.

1 ReplyThe crafted weapon level grind is much worse, many weapons start off as garbage and you’re forced to use garbage for a significant amount of time just to get good perks.

The battleground weapons you gotta do hella runs as for the other set of weapons sometimes i get one from the amp thing.

I don’t disagree with you but what I think is more important is giving guardians a better more efficient way to earn resonant materials (crafting currency). I almost never have any and I don’t change my rolls very often.

But really think how rare it is to get perfect roll of a weapon the stars have to Aline .Now with crafting it makes it way easier I get red borders like 1-15 focus that’s not that bad

It still doesn't make sense... Why aren't all weapons "red borders"? I thought the whole purpose was to alleviate bad rng and free up vaults with multiple copies. All it does now is add rng on top of rng.

Haven't played that much due to how boring Warlock is now but at level 60+ on the Season Pass and I've not unlocked a single craftable weapon yet (this seasons). Problem with that is the monoteny to grind to just to get to a level one state burns you out of doing the same-old same-olds over and over again. Then you want to level it up but by then can't face more Destiny. Best case scenario is you level up last seasons undone craftables and do this season's in the following season! Such a bad way to arrange the gameplay. Better that they're unlocked relatively quickly or at least ONE is unlocked early for example in the season pass. That way we can at least be levelling up something whilst we endure the repetitive grind, sorry I mean 'content'.

1 ReplyNot to mention that we have zero information about how we will or even if we will be able to get red borders for this years seasonal weapons after lightfall launched. Usually all the seasonal weapons became unobtainable outside of xur and recently through dares. This season is way too short for them to expect us to obtain all the red borders and them deleting them on Feb 28th imo. They have been way too stingy with red borders in general considering the whole material sink and time sink for leveling them after aswell. It should be either or, either make the red borders obtainable fast and easy or make the leveling process quick and cheap. Making both a multiple week long process for ONE weapon you want is just too much (for me atleast, someone who only has like 2 hours of spare time on a regular day)

Just get a fireteam together and non stop run legend battlegrounds. It's guaranteed red borders for weapons that are not completed

How to people not understand that your not meant to get them all in a day. Its a seasonal grind, not daily, weekly or monthly grind. There meant to be done over a long period of time which is great considering how powerful they are. If anything the drop rates should be rarer
