Cryptarch at the HELM please!
With Tower load times seemingly getting longer and longer, we need a chryptarch at the HELM.
HELM load times are significantly quicker and we need somewhere to unload primes and umbrals in the same location.
Seems like a simple QOL addition to make as we already have another chryptarch that used to be at the farm. Bring her into the HELM please.

1 ReplyYou can decode umbrals at the season vendors. Why not just let us decode primes there as well? The prime would reward whatever gear that vendor has, but at the light level of the prime.

Given the Helm is going away or being revamped again, it’s a small chance. But as others said you can decode umbrals there and those are most of the engrams I end up getting.

Or get rid of the cryptarch altogether... I mean still have him as a vendor but its so random what needs to be decrypted and where it can be decrypted.. sometimes right out of your mailbox... sometimes right off the ground... sometimes not... I like seeing the engrams drop on the ground but hauling them to the cryptarch feels unnecessarily redundant most of the time. Its transmatable data... just have him open what we want remotely.

Loading in by Drifter seems to for some reason be faster than default tower load in, then you have to walk all that way though.

1 ReplyWe had one at the farm, and in D1 we had one in the reef. Ives? So it should be quite doable. The thing with the helm is that it is you own social space. Just for you and your fireteam. Wich is a good idea i think. Altho, would be fun (since it now seems to be your base of operations), to be able to personalize it. Make it "yours". And the enclave, why not use it more for things? I rarely go there at all. Unless i have to craft a new weapon or change it. Other than that, no. Seems kind of a wasted opportunity to me. Feels like they have so many different "hubs" now that it all just is a mess in that way. So yeah, it would be better to have a cryptarch at the helm too. Just for the sake of QOL. Then i would only need to go to tower for the vendors and quests etc.

We also used to have an umbrella engram decryptor in the helm already, so they could bring that back.

5 RepliesHonestly, they should just remove Tower as a social space. They want the game to grow, but keep mentioning the challenges associated with it and trying to find all these ways to mitigate these challenges. We have the holographs that are part of the Destiny universe, why can't we just have those in H.E.L.M. and conduct our business as per usual in that way? Tower is a growing problem, so much so they even say "go to H.E.L.M. instead" so they've even acknowledged these issues. Social spaces are great, but only if they work, and clearly Bungie is incapable of maintaining operations there, so why keep it? Especially if we can do all the same stuff elsewhere with a little work. But it could be they're worried that H.E.L.M. will get messed up if they do that, but then the question becomes, if they're incapable of doing either, why did they even take on this venture in the first place?

Just get rid of the helm and put all that stuff in the tower next to The Drifter and Ada. Same thing with weapon crafting. That should be in the tower as well.

5 RepliesOf course HELM loads faster... When you go to the Tower you are matchmaking with other players. When you go to the HELM, you are going alone. Not sure why you seem so shocked by this in your post.
