Legendary lost sectors drop rate are horrible for exotics
Hell I’d rather just play the game doing other -blam!- and hope for an exotic drop than run a legendary no death multiple times to get jack -blam!- nothing. You need to look into this it’s a joke

Lol the drop rate fine the problem is there is to many exotic when I run them I get exotics like 1-7 runs

The loot pool is just too massive. I've tried like hell to get a decent assassins cowl now I just gave up and play gyrfalcons

Star Eater Scales for example I unlocked on my first run. Since then I have gotten over 10 of them just playing the game normally. But no one [b][u]needs[/u][/b] 10 Star Eaters and most of them have been high stats. Yes this means you can't choose a specific exotic to drop, but that is the point. This is a looter and shooter and if you could farm Lost Sectors for one specific exotic, you would defeat the purpose of the game and destroy the loot economy.

Currently it's an exotic dropping every 4.5 legend lost sectors on average, which seems generous to me. I know sometimes you can go on a longer run without one but that's compensated by the times you get one on your 1st or 2nd run.

Its like buying 2 lottery tickets instead of one, same exact odds. & no you cant get 2 exotics its a one and done kind of thing. Or thats how the system was on release, I dont think they have updated it since then.

The exotics need to drop at 64 plus as it’s the only way to target farm a certain piece and they are in the 50s. Plus if I do get lucky and the piece I want drops and in the 60’s my ghost mod doesn’t do anything to the distribution and I just delete it and stop trying. Nightfall double loot week is dropping me instant deletes too because of the ghost mod not working too.

Idk why they’re not apart of the seasonal story. Follow the story along each week. Upon completing the weekly story receive an exotic engram that contains a random exotic you have or an exotic you don’t already own.

im fine with it cus i just fill my inventory up and then spend 6 hours farming, i save them in my post master until the day helmets are dropping and then i open them currently i have 10 sitting their waiting im a hunter and whats bugging me is the stats.. im looking for a 69 or 70 drop that has 2 in both the strength and intelligence slot maybe also 2 in mobility that would be perfect cus then my other stats would get a massive boost i need a 40 and a 20 for my recovery and resistance

I'm convinced at this point that there's some kind of bug preventing armor to drop at the rate it's supposed to.

Rng is terrible for some. I normally get my drops the first time or the second. I will say rng should be increased for lost sectors or just remove them

2 RepliesEdited by Britta Undead: 1/15/2023 4:56:58 PMTwo of us were in a voice chat and both of us launched into Perdition lost sector on Master mode.(no, not together) We each did 3 with no drops, I switched to legendary and they continued doing master mode. After 2-3 more runs, I got a set of gauntlets, two more and I had another pair drop. I didn't need any more and stopped altogether. They went on for another half hour, 3-5 minutes per run. Not a SINGLE drop.

The "common" drop rate is such bs too. I don't know who thought this was a good idea locking some new exotics for the expansion/season behind solo lost sectors, with the rng so screwed up. I think it's just a way for Bungie to actually play the lost sectors nowadays. You usualy do them once when they are new, then there is really no point in doing them after that really. Except for the exotic that is. The usual loot is not something that is worth grinding for and there are a lot of other activities id rather do. Especially when certain lost sectors are in rotation. Just simply skip them entirely.

Agreed which is why I don't do them unless I'm really really really really really bored. When I do run them I'll typically go an hour without getting a drop or just 1. I farm exotics when it's double loot GM's.

I agree! I ran 27 lost sectors over a 20-hour period yesterday and today. I got three exotics. Only one of the gauntlets had a role worth keeping.

Do the nightfall it's not dropping the nightfall weapon like it should (on master) but you're getting 1-2 exotic drops
