Simple if you are having problems go and practice. Trials was created as a hard core pvp mode to challenge the best pvp players in the game. The only skill based matchmaking in Trials is YOU deciding that you are good enough to play and win. Trials is as close to true competitive level game play as you will get in Destiny. Bungie will not hold your hand all the time. It is not Bungie's fault if you can not judge if you are upto the challenge of a certain activity which was created purposefully to be hard. This has been the way since year 1 of D1 when Trials was created due to player requests. No one is forcing you to play Trials and not everything in D2 was created for everyone. As a wise man once said "if you can not take the heat stay away from the fire".
